My friends at Build-A-Bear Workshop are celebrating 15 years of making friends! During the last 15 years, they have shared over 100 million furry friends with us—how time flies!
Today marks the celebration of Martin Luther King, Jr., and his ‘Dream’ of all of us co-exisiting in society as equals and as one. It’s important for me to help instill dreams and goals for my children, so they grow up knowing that with hard work and determination, anything can be in their reach.
Homeschooling was never an option for me all of those years ago because I had to go out and make money. I wasn’t married, so there wasn’t another income to depend on.
As you may have read previously on my blog, I am a big fan of Build-A-Bear Workshop—and so is my 7 year old daughter. There is nothing like seeing her face every time we go into their store to make a special furry friend for her.
I love purchasing OPI’s mini lacquers, especially since it gives me the opportunity to try several colors from a collection without spending a fortune buying each color.
Since I had my trusty Xoom with me, I used it to record their dance routine. The result is a crisp video that has great sound and video quality.
Later this week, my 7 year old daughter and I will be hosting a few friends over for a Leapfrog Party. We will be introducing several Leapfrog toys to our guests including the LeadPad, which is a tablet for kids, and Leapfrog Pen Reader which helps new readers read along with their favorite stories.
This past August, I took my daughter to the amazing American Girl Place on Chicago’s Magnificent Mall in the Water Tower. We were given a full tour by Koko, the store manager, and my daughter picked out her very first American Girl doll who she promptly named Lola.
In fact, I am sure that because I let my daughter constantly stay up past her bedtime at least 3 out of 5 days of the week, will give a reason for many of you to call DCFS on me.
Fooz Kids is an interactive portal online just for kids. Within the application, you and your child have tons of options to both play and learn.
Yes, today marks the first day of school for the Cubicle brood. My spacers, 7 yr old 2nd grader and 17 yr old senior are back at school after two months of being on summer break.
