Thanks for the luv sis!!! I'm still a newbie to the world of makeup so I'd definitely love to read the tips and suggestions that some of the more experienced makeup mavens can offer! Dani your makeup looks Gorgeous in that pic! I need to be getting tips from you b/c the only thing I'm not afraid to play in is eyeshadow lol, I'm clueless when it comes to foundation and other products.

I've watched many tutorials as well and I agree there's not much out there for beginners as far as specific tools and products. For me, since I'm a newbie I try not to get the most expensive or most popular thing thats out, b/c I don't wanna mess over the "good" stuff during trial and error lol.

Just this weekend I bought a set of inexpensive makeup brushes from walmart. It came as an assortment and has about 10 pieces. Also, as far as playing around with eye shadows I'd say invest in an inexpensive palette but make sure the colors are pigmented b/c pigmented colors show up really well. Coast Scents has a really nice one for only $18.95. I've seen newbies and professionals recommend their products so definitely check them out!

Sweet! I am going to start off with an inexpensive set of brushes first and work my way up. Do you know anything about Bare Essentials pigments? I went into their store the other day at the mall and they had several colors I wanted to try.

First off I want to say you are beautiful!

I think a good starting point for you is to work with a basic color to just bring it out and you can play with. A great selection for you would be Wood-Winked AC6 by Mac it will make your eye pop yet its basic sexy. If you would like to do a base first I would go with a Cork A56 by Mac as well. Since you starting out I don't like to see folks jump into the expensive brushes work your way up. You can actually go to walmart and get a whole collection of brushes together for around 10 bucks .

Also I would say start with just doing the bottom lid of your eye with some color then start looking at more tutorials and DEFINITELY stay tuned to http://www.gimmethatglow.com I feel we will do some more things in this area soon.

Thank you for the compliment. I've always wanted to try MAC but they scare me. LOL. The music is always blasting and they are always so crowded but I would like to give them a try. I hear they have the best colors.

I have the MAC makeup art brushes, but its already time to get some new ones and I got these some time middle of this year its extreme expensive but I love them, but Walmart has a good starter. But if you don't want the whole set even for foundation Sephora has cheap separates you can buy like a good 3 brushes.
