Friday’s Eye Color Pigment Challenge

Each Friday, I am going to try to dedicate myself to trying something new with my eyes. Whether it’s new color or pigments, techniques, blends, etc., on my blog, Fridays is when I will be experimenting. Today, for the challenge, I wanted something bold but professional enough to wear in the office. This is what I came up with:

Urban Decay, 'Half Baked' at the brow

Urban Decay 'Gunmetal' in the crease, 'Ecstacy' on lower lid

I apologize for the poor lighting, I took the above pics with my Blackberry. Oh, and excuse my sleepwear. LOL. What do you think of this week’s challenge? I appreciate any tips, suggestions and the like so be sure to comment!

i LOVE LOVE the eyeshadow but i'm not sure how i feel about the eyeshadow + lip color… i think i would have liked to have either seen something more nude or darker with a matte finish…

Yeah I get what you are saying about the lip color. It's a old standby color that I use all the time. I am going to start experimenting with more lip colors as well. Thanks for the feedback!

I agree 100%. I should've had my eyes closed. Didn't really think of it until after I posted the pics. Thanks for stopping by and commenting! :)

I love it. I'm not really a make-up girl (meaning, I have no idea how to do this…even though it may be simpler than I think, lol!) But I would definitely rock this to work. I do agree with Ladebelle about choosing a more neutral lip color to focus the attention to the eyes.

I am pretty new to the make-up application world myself and yes, it is a lot easier than it looks. If you are a creative person (which I know you are), it kind of applies itself. Thanks for checking out the look and I hope to post more of my applications as I get more comfortable with it. Looks like I need to branch out and buy some new lip colors as well. :)

Hey sis. Go to http://www.zoya.com and look at their Hot Lips collection. Manyyyy colored lip balms. They last long and feel luxurious on your lips. Clinique also makes great lip glosses/lip sticks. Loveeee your make up, i'm learning from you.

Ok, of all of the looks on the site, I like this one the best. But I'm going to chalk it up to me being such a neutrals type of girl myself! And I love vibrant shades of purple :-) Good work! I should probably spread my wings a bit on the color front, but I have a fear of looking like Mimi from the Drew Carey show, so….I'll just have to live vicariously through your posts.
