At least she is using her fame & influence to support a good cause. I'm not sure if she's mentioned why she decided to do this, but it's possible that she knows someone who was injured or killed in an accident which involved phone use and driving. Even if that's not the reason, it is still safer to drive without texting or even talking on the phone. Oprah, like it or not, has the power to bring a lot of attention to whatever topics she wishes, and she has chosen this. More power to her.
