Nickelodeon’s Storytime Live Hits The Stage At The Fox Theater

July 20, 2010 Comments Off

How I love live theater productions. And when I heard that Nickelodeon’s Storytime Live was coming to the Fabulous Fox Theater here in St. Louis, I knew I wanted to take my six year old. A live and fun production of some of her favorite Nick Jr. stars including Kai-Lan, The Backyardigans, The Wonder Pets, and of course, the popular Dora the Explorer.

Nickelodeon’s Storytime Live at the Fox was a brilliant production. The emcee of the show was Nick Jr.’s Moose E. Moose and his friend, Zee. We had fun interacting with the stage performers who took on the cartoon personas on Nickelodeon with ease—very much like the shows they were replicating.

Each show had a story unique to it’s characters: Kai-lan worked with friends to help get to a destination, The Backyardigans worked to help show that being dirty was not cool, The Wonder Pets met the wonder that is Wonderland complete with the Mad Hatter and the Queen of Hearts, and Dora the Explorer saved the day as only she could by breaking the spell put on her friend Boots.

This production is great for children of all ages. And there was an intermission break for potty time and to get snacks for those kids who can’t sit for long periods of time.

I recommend you see Nickelodeon’s Storytime Live when it comes to your town. Special thanks to Erin at The Fabulous Fox Theater for the invite!
