Will You Join Me At Show Me the Blog Social Media & Blogging Conference?

Two weeks ago, I announced that I would be organizing a social media and blogging conference here in St. Louis. It met with a positive response and now I am in the full throngs of putting it all together and making it happen. Many people have asked me why I decided to create a conference of my own and the answer is simple: in my neck of the woods, many of the social media and blogging events and networking opportunities are not shared amongst a wide group of people. It’s the same group of people doing the same thing—I want to shake things up a little. Have a conference that is not a “clique” but a group of people who all like social media, networking, and blogging. It’s that simple.

I have had a rather positive response to Show Me the Blog, but I also have a long way to go. I appreciate all of the hard work that my team has produced so far and I am looking forward to making this thing a success!

The conference is a daylong interactive event being held on Saturday, October 23, 2010. Registration begins from 8am to 9am and the conference begins promptly at 9am and ends at 5pm. Early Bird registration is only $40.00 and includes admission into the conference, lunch, and conference materials.

I would love to not only have your support but your attendance as well. I have speakers and panelists that run the gamut in topics and experience. There will also be a Show Me the Blog Night Out where conference attendees, speakers, panelists, moderators, and staff can hang out and unwind after Conference is over.

The tagline for Show Me the Blog is: Learn, grow, and connect. I hope that all of the attendees have a wonderful experience at the conference as well as get the most out of their investment in their ticket cost.

We are also looking for sponsors who are interested in their product or service being in the company of new media individuals who have power in their words and reviews. Social media and networking pundits are the best word of mouth advertising—this is an important group of people to pitch.

October 23, 2010 will be a monumental day in terms of my professional career.
