I used to be elated when I began seeing the back-to-school commercials on television. And when I started to receive emails from the school after the summer hiatus, it was like a breath of fresh air, a reminder that the kiddos would be back to school and I could focus on my job and work and whatever I was involved in at that time.
Now that I am a WAHM, my feelings about the start of the school year has changed. This summer, I have been so productive. With the kids being out and having more flexible schedules, I’ve been able to get so much accomplished without worrying about where they need to be or trying to juggle school programs, recitals, etc. I could attend as many events as I wanted, fly off to conferences, and simply run my business my way without too much interference. Now that school will be back in session next week, I have a feeling that I won’t be getting done as much as I usually do.
My six year old is involved in a lot of things at her school and my sixteen year old is ALWAYS signing up for something. And as a member of the PTA and volunteer committee at my daughter’s school, I will have to stretch my time between the school and my work. I don’t know how I am going to do this!
I do know I sound a tinge selfish right now, but my business and projects have been booming. I do not want to fall off because school has started. I have momentum that I want to continue in order to build my brand and my business.
Does anyone else feel the same way I do? Do you wish there were a few more weeks before school was due to start? What are your thoughts on back to school?

Honestly, I could use another month. I work at a college full time and I am not prepared for these kids to return in 2 weeks. I still need time to plan and get things in order for the school year. As usual we will find a way to make it work for us. Wishing you the best!!
The school year has snuck up on me! I am not ready for them to go back!
