As many of you know, I am in the midst of transitioning my hair to a natural state. Right now, my hair is almost half and half and there are times when I want to flatten or straighten out the root in order to wear a chignon or a smoother style. Not wanting to apply too much heat on my hair in only a limited area, I usually bypass those styles but now I don’t have to.

A lifelong relaxer who has been Natural for 1 full yr. (and Going Strong) and loving EVERY MINUTE OF IT, I would love to win the Edgestick to use for the times when I do “ATTEMPT” to straighten my hair (especially the roots) without burning my scalp, my hand, or my ear (Especially since I’ve never been too great with a Flat iron!!!) I would like the edgestick to give to my daughter as a birthday present. She will be turning 20 on the 3rd of November and as a full time student, she doesn’t have a lot of money to purchase quality products for her hair or even go to the hair dresser. As a single mom who is also a full time student, I don’t have the extra funds either. My daughter has beautiful hair and she does take really good care of it. This would help her a lot with the upkeep of her hair. I researched this product and also found that you can get close to the edges without burning your skin. I would love to see my daughter without the scab marks around her hairline. She has really thick and long hair and the Edgestick would be the perfect tool for her.
