It is the number one killer of women, so we cannot sit idly by without doing something about this serious epidemic. Do right by the cause and show your support by being fabulous in something red. Friday, February 3rd is National Wear Red for Heart Disease, a day in which we all show our support for those dealing with heart disease. Since the inception of my blog, I have participated in National Wear Red Day and have urged my readers to do so. This year, I will not only be wearing red but attending the Bleeding Heart Project Launch Event in Chicago. The event is being hosted by BHP founder Raijean Stroud, who is a fashion blogger. She suffers from congestive heart failure and has had numerous surgeries and procedures since being diagnosed. Raijean wants to educate and empower others to take control of their health and encourages support and outreach through the Bleeding Heart Project. The month of February has also been deemed Heart Awareness Month, and there will be plenty of events, programs, and digital attention on the importance of heart health and heart disease prevention. My father also has congestive heart failure and suffers from heart disease. He has had 2 heart attacks and several stints put into his arteries to open them up. Heart disease runs in my family, so I also have to keep an eye on my heart health. It's not something I take lightly. Please make sure to wear red on Feb. 3rd and show your support. Despite the jokes I sometimes get for being with a service provider other than AT&T and Verizon, I actually enjoy being a T-mobile customer. I usually have decent coverage and my bill is low for what I get in comparison to my other friends who use other providers. I get more bang for my buck with T-mobile, which is why I continue to sing their praises. During CES, T-Mobile invited me to a special event at The Venetian, that was hosted by T-Mobile Girl Carly, and featured singer Colbie Caillat. There was food, swag, and a presentation from T-Mobile higher ups including Philipp Humm, CEO of T-Mobile. The message of the event was pretty clear. Yes, the AT&T merger fell through, but they are moving full steam ahead with offering 4G services in more areas while offering low-cost services so that everyone can have a smart phone and be able to browse the Internet on the go. T-Mobile is paying special attention to their pre-paid division, which is pretty large in comparison to other mobile phone providers. Pre-paid services are for those who cannot afford to have a traditional account, whose credit is not up to par for approval for a regular account, or for those who don't want to sign a contract. T-Mobile wants their pre-paid customers to feel like they are important too. This really appealed to me, not because I am a pre-paid customer, but because a lot of their pre-paid accounts are held by those who are in lower socio-economic areas. I find it quite wonderful that T-mobile wants to continue to lessen the digital divide by making it affordable for everyone to have a smart phone, no matter their economic status. T-mobile will also be offering cloud services for their customers so they can have access to their contacts, photos, information, and more wherever they are. There will also be a heavy emphasis on gaming services on devices. Simply put, T-Mobile isn't going anywhere anytime soon. The AT&T merger did slow them down a bit, but they are not down for the count. There will be more announcements in the upcoming months regarding their service offerings, new phones, and company plans. Here are a few pictures from the event:

Wow, 2012 is officially here! How did you ring in the New Year? I spent it with my significant other in St. Louis, eating with friends, and then going out on the town to First Night St. Louis 2012 in Grand Center in midtown. There was a band, food, hot chocolate, fun, acrobats, and other unique things to check out. And of course there were the fireworks, which pop off after the countdown ends to the New Year. The fabulous staff at behind the scenes have been working feverishly to create several grand opening events that St. Louis can really sink their teeth into. I wanted to announce two upcoming events that are being held at Nordstrom's new St. Louis Galleria location that are must-attend soirees. The first event is an exclusive Grand Opening Gala on Wednesday, September 21st from 6 to 9pm. The tickets for the event are and include valet parking, fashion modeling, shopping, music, dinner and dessert buffets, cocktails, and other entertainment throughout the store. All proceeds from the event go to support COCA, Contemporary Art Museum, Missouri Botanical Garden, and St. Louis Art Museum. These are non-profit institutions in the St. Louis area that help the community, so attending this event would really help St. Louis citizens. The fact that they were going to have professional fitters there to measure me for my appropriate bra size piqued my interest. I haven't been professionally measured since 2007, and my "girls" have changed since then, if you know what I mean. I also wanted to see the new store before it officially opened to the masses, so attending the soiree was a no-brainer. I had to be there. I learned from Oprah that most women are not wearing the right bra size. We have a tendency to wear our bras either way too big or way too small, causing a disservice to our bodies and our posture. Wearing the right bra can not only do wonders for the way you look (rid back fat, make your clothes fit better, et al) but can also improve your confidence. Knowing that you are properly fitting in something that you have to wear everyday is most important----so why do we not take the time to make sure we are wearing the right fit bra? When I arrived at Nordstrom, I was introduced to my bra fitter, Maggie, who was flown in from San Fransisco just for this event. She's the real deal when it comes to finding the right fit and right bras for her clients, and began her task of getting me measured and finding bras in the store that I would like. Maggie also had the task of fitting one of my friends, Glamazini, a fellow blogger, who also made her appointment at the same time I did so we could get some bonding time in (yes, bonding over bras is a real activity!). Maggie hustled, going from her dressing room to mine picking out bras, checking the fit, and making sure that we not only felt fabulous, but we looked it under our clothing. Maggie was most amazing! I ended up picking up 2 bras, yoga pants, cami, tummy slimmer, and an awesome off the shoulder top that looks glam with a pair of jeans or leggings. My wallet was only so deep, so I couldn't get everything I wanted, but I will be back soon to get more bras. I feel like a million bucks! Nordstrom's Intimates department will fit you at no charge. They also work to help fit women who have had mastectomy surgery and they also carry mastectomy bras. This is a great service for women who don't want to be fitted in a store, rather than a medical environment. Check out some pictures from our day:

Friday, February 3rd is National Wear Red for Heart Disease, a day in which we all show our support for those dealing with heart disease. Since the inception of my blog, I have participated in National Wear Red Day and have urged my readers to do so. This year, I will not only be wearing red but attending the Bleeding Heart Project Launch Event in Chicago. The event is being hosted by BHP founder Raijean Stroud, who is a fashion blogger. She suffers from congestive heart failure and has had numerous surgeries and procedures since being diagnosed. Raijean wants to educate and empower others to take control of their health and encourages support and outreach through the Bleeding Heart Project. The month of February has also been deemed Heart Awareness Month, and there will be plenty of events, programs, and digital attention on the importance of heart health and heart disease prevention. My father also has congestive heart failure and suffers from heart disease. He has had 2 heart attacks and several stints put into his arteries to open them up. Despite the jokes I sometimes get for being with a service provider other than AT&T and Verizon, I actually enjoy being a T-mobile customer. I usually have decent coverage and my bill is low for what I get in comparison to my other friends who use other providers. I get more bang for my buck with T-mobile, which is why I continue to sing their praises. During CES, T-Mobile invited me to a special event at The Venetian, that was hosted by T-Mobile Girl Carly, and featured singer Colbie Caillat. There was food, swag, and a presentation from T-Mobile higher ups including Philipp Humm, CEO of T-Mobile. The message of the event was pretty clear. Yes, the AT&T merger fell through, but they are moving full steam ahead with offering 4G services in more areas while offering low-cost services so that everyone can have a smart phone and be able to browse the Internet on the go. T-Mobile is paying special attention to their pre-paid division, which is pretty large in comparison to other mobile phone providers. Pre-paid services are for those who cannot afford to have a traditional account, whose credit is not up to par for approval for a regular account, or for those who don't want to sign a contract. T-Mobile wants their pre-paid customers to feel like they are important too. This really appealed to me, not because I am a pre-paid customer, but because a lot of their pre-paid accounts are held by those who are in lower socio-economic areas. I find it quite wonderful that T-mobile wants to continue to lessen the digital divide by making it affordable for everyone to have a smart phone, no matter their economic status. T-mobile will also be offering cloud services for their customers so they can have access to their contacts, photos, information, and more wherever they are. There will also be a heavy emphasis on gaming services on devices. Simply put, T-Mobile isn't going anywhere anytime soon. The AT&T merger did slow them down a bit, but they are not down for the count. There will be more announcements in the upcoming months regarding their service offerings, new phones, and company plans. Here are a few pictures from the event:

Wow, 2012 is officially here! How did you ring in the New Year? I spent it with my significant other in St. Louis, eating with friends, and then going out on the town to First Night St. Louis 2012 in Grand Center in midtown. There was a band, food, hot chocolate, fun, acrobats, and other unique things to check out. And of course there were the fireworks, which pop off after the countdown ends to the New Year. The fabulous staff at behind the scenes have been working feverishly to create several grand opening events that St. Louis can really sink their teeth into. I wanted to announce two upcoming events that are being held at Nordstrom's new St. Louis Galleria location that are must-attend soirees. The first event is an exclusive Grand Opening Gala on Wednesday, September 21st from 6 to 9pm. The tickets for the event are and include valet parking, fashion modeling, shopping, music, dinner and dessert buffets, cocktails, and other entertainment throughout the store. All proceeds from the event go to support COCA, Contemporary Art Museum, Missouri Botanical Garden, and St. Louis Art Museum. The fact that they were going to have professional fitters there to measure me for my appropriate bra size piqued my interest. I haven't been professionally measured since 2007, and my "girls" have changed since then, if you know what I mean. I also wanted to see the new store before it officially opened to the masses, so attending the soiree was a no-brainer. I had to be there. I learned from Oprah that most women are not wearing the right bra size. We have a tendency to wear our bras either way too big or way too small, causing a disservice to our bodies and our posture. Wearing the right bra can not only do wonders for the way you look (rid back fat, make your clothes fit better, et al) but can also improve your confidence. Knowing that you are properly fitting in something that you have to wear everyday is most important----so why do we not take the time to make sure we are wearing the right fit bra? When I arrived at Nordstrom, I was introduced to my bra fitter, Maggie, who was flown in from San Fransisco just for this event. She's the real deal when it comes to finding the right fit and right bras for her clients, and began her task of getting me measured and finding bras in the store that I would like. Maggie also had the task of fitting one of my friends, Glamazini, a fellow blogger, who also made her appointment at the same time I did so we could get some bonding time in (yes, bonding over bras is a real activity!). Maggie hustled, going from her dressing room to mine picking out bras, checking the fit, and making sure that we not only felt fabulous, but we looked it under our clothing. Maggie was most amazing! I ended up picking up 2 bras, yoga pants, cami, tummy slimmer, and an awesome off the shoulder top that looks glam with a pair of jeans or leggings. My wallet was only so deep, so I couldn't get everything I wanted, but I will be back soon to get more bras. I feel like a million bucks! Nordstrom's Intimates department will fit you at no charge. They also work to help fit women who have had mastectomy surgery and they also carry mastectomy bras. This is a great service for women who don't want to be fitted in a store, rather than a medical environment. Check out some pictures from our day:

It is the number one killer of women, so we cannot sit idly by without doing something about this serious epidemic. Do right by the cause and show your support by being fabulous in something red. Friday, February 3rd is National Wear Red for Heart Disease, a day in which we all show our support for those dealing with heart disease. Since the inception of my blog, I have participated in National Wear Red Day and have urged my readers to do so. This year, I will not only be wearing red but attending the Bleeding Heart Project Launch Event in Chicago. The event is being hosted by BHP founder Raijean Stroud, who is a fashion blogger. She suffers from congestive heart failure and has had numerous surgeries and procedures since being diagnosed. Raijean wants to educate and empower others to take control of their health and encourages support and outreach through the Bleeding Heart Project. The month of February has also been deemed Heart Awareness Month, and there will be plenty of events, programs, and digital attention on the importance of heart health and heart disease prevention. My father also has congestive heart failure and suffers from heart disease. He has had 2 heart attacks and several stints put into his arteries to open them up. Heart disease runs in my family, so I also have to keep an eye on my heart health. It's not something I take lightly. Please make sure to wear red on Feb. 3rd and show your support. Despite the jokes I sometimes get for being with a service provider other than AT&T and Verizon, I actually enjoy being a T-mobile customer. I usually have decent coverage and my bill is low for what I get in comparison to my other friends who use other providers. I get more bang for my buck with T-mobile, which is why I continue to sing their praises. During CES, T-Mobile invited me to a special event at The Venetian, that was hosted by T-Mobile Girl Carly, and featured singer Colbie Caillat. There was food, swag, and a presentation from T-Mobile higher ups including Philipp Humm, CEO of T-Mobile. The message of the event was pretty clear. Yes, the AT&T merger fell through, but they are moving full steam ahead with offering 4G services in more areas while offering low-cost services so that everyone can have a smart phone and be able to browse the Internet on the go. T-Mobile is paying special attention to their pre-paid division, which is pretty large in comparison to other mobile phone providers. Pre-paid services are for those who cannot afford to have a traditional account, whose credit is not up to par for approval for a regular account, or for those who don't want to sign a contract. T-Mobile wants their pre-paid customers to feel like they are important too. This really appealed to me, not because I am a pre-paid customer, but because a lot of their pre-paid accounts are held by those who are in lower socio-economic areas. I find it quite wonderful that T-mobile wants to continue to lessen the digital divide by making it affordable for everyone to have a smart phone, no matter their economic status. T-mobile will also be offering cloud services for their customers so they can have access to their contacts, photos, information, and more wherever they are. There will also be a heavy emphasis on gaming services on devices. Simply put, T-Mobile isn't going anywhere anytime soon. The AT&T merger did slow them down a bit, but they are not down for the count. There will be more announcements in the upcoming months regarding their service offerings, new phones, and company plans. Here are a few pictures from the event:

Wow, 2012 is officially here! How did you ring in the New Year? I spent it with my significant other in St. Louis, eating with friends, and then going out on the town to First Night St. Louis 2012 in Grand Center in midtown. There was a band, food, hot chocolate, fun, acrobats, and other unique things to check out. And of course there were the fireworks, which pop off after the countdown ends to the New Year. The fabulous staff at behind the scenes have been working feverishly to create several grand opening events that St. Louis can really sink their teeth into. I wanted to announce two upcoming events that are being held at Nordstrom's new St. Louis Galleria location that are must-attend soirees. The first event is an exclusive Grand Opening Gala on Wednesday, September 21st from 6 to 9pm. The tickets for the event are and include valet parking, fashion modeling, shopping, music, dinner and dessert buffets, cocktails, and other entertainment throughout the store. All proceeds from the event go to support COCA, Contemporary Art Museum, Missouri Botanical Garden, and St. Louis Art Museum. The fact that they were going to have professional fitters there to measure me for my appropriate bra size piqued my interest. I haven't been professionally measured since 2007, and my "girls" have changed since then, if you know what I mean. I also wanted to see the new store before it officially opened to the masses, so attending the soiree was a no-brainer. I had to be there. I learned from Oprah that most women are not wearing the right bra size. We have a tendency to wear our bras either way too big or way too small, causing a disservice to our bodies and our posture. Wearing the right bra can not only do wonders for the way you look (rid back fat, make your clothes fit better, et al) but can also improve your confidence. Knowing that you are properly fitting in something that you have to wear everyday is most important----so why do we not take the time to make sure we are wearing the right fit bra? When I arrived at Nordstrom, I was introduced to my bra fitter, Maggie, who was flown in from San Fransisco just for this event. She's the real deal when it comes to finding the right fit and right bras for her clients, and began her task of getting me measured and finding bras in the store that I would like. Maggie also had the task of fitting one of my friends, Glamazini, a fellow blogger, who also made her appointment at the same time I did so we could get some bonding time in (yes, bonding over bras is a real activity!). Maggie hustled, going from her dressing room to mine picking out bras, checking the fit, and making sure that we not only felt fabulous, but we looked it under our clothing. Maggie was most amazing! I ended up picking up 2 bras, yoga pants, cami, tummy slimmer, and an awesome off the shoulder top that looks glam with a pair of jeans or leggings. My wallet was only so deep, so I couldn't get everything I wanted, but I will be back soon to get more bras. I feel like a million bucks! Nordstrom's Intimates department will fit you at no charge. They also work to help fit women who have had mastectomy surgery and they also carry mastectomy bras. This is a great service for women who don't want to be fitted in a store, rather than a medical environment. Check out some pictures from our day:

Despite the jokes I sometimes get for being with a service provider other than AT&T and Verizon, I actually enjoy being a T-mobile customer. I usually have decent coverage and my bill is low for what I get in comparison to my other friends who use other providers. I get more bang for my buck with T-mobile, which is why I continue to sing their praises. During CES, T-Mobile invited me to a special event at The Venetian, that was hosted by T-Mobile Girl Carly, and featured singer Colbie Caillat. There was food, swag, and a presentation from T-Mobile higher ups including Philipp Humm, CEO of T-Mobile. The message of the event was pretty clear. Yes, the AT&T merger fell through, but they are moving full steam ahead with offering 4G services in more areas while offering low-cost services so that everyone can have a smart phone and be able to browse the Internet on the go. T-Mobile is paying special attention to their pre-paid division, which is pretty large in comparison to other mobile phone providers. Pre-paid services are for those who cannot afford to have a traditional account, whose credit is not up to par for approval for a regular account, or for those who don't want to sign a contract. T-Mobile wants their pre-paid customers to feel like they are important too. This really appealed to me, not because I am a pre-paid customer, but because a lot of their pre-paid accounts are held by those who are in lower socio-economic areas. I find it quite wonderful that T-mobile wants to continue to lessen the digital divide by making it affordable for everyone to have a smart phone, no matter their economic status. T-mobile will also be offering cloud services for their customers so they can have access to their contacts, photos, information, and more wherever they are. There will also be a heavy emphasis on gaming services on devices. Simply put, T-Mobile isn't going anywhere anytime soon. The AT&T merger did slow them down a bit, but they are not down for the count. There will be more announcements in the upcoming months regarding their service offerings, new phones, and company plans. Here are a few pictures from the event:

It is the number one killer of women, so we cannot sit idly by without doing something about this serious epidemic. Do right by the cause and show your support by being fabulous in something red. Friday, February 3rd is National Wear Red for Heart Disease, a day in which we all show our support for those dealing with heart disease. Since the inception of my blog, I have participated in National Wear Red Day and have urged my readers to do so. This year, I will not only be wearing red but attending the Bleeding Heart Project Launch Event in Chicago. The event is being hosted by BHP founder Raijean Stroud, who is a fashion blogger. She suffers from congestive heart failure and has had numerous surgeries and procedures since being diagnosed. Raijean wants to educate and empower others to take control of their health and encourages support and outreach through the Bleeding Heart Project. The month of February has also been deemed Heart Awareness Month, and there will be plenty of events, programs, and digital attention on the importance of heart health and heart disease prevention. My father also has congestive heart failure and suffers from heart disease. He has had 2 heart attacks and several stints put into his arteries to open them up. Heart disease runs in my family, so I also have to keep an eye on my heart health. It's not something I take lightly. Please make sure to wear red on Feb. 3rd and show your support. Wow, 2012 is officially here! How did you ring in the New Year? I spent it with my significant other in St. Louis, eating with friends, and then going out on the town to First Night St. Louis 2012 in Grand Center in midtown. There was a band, food, hot chocolate, fun, acrobats, and other unique things to check out. And of course there were the fireworks, which pop off after the countdown ends to the New Year. The fabulous staff at behind the scenes have been working feverishly to create several grand opening events that St. Louis can really sink their teeth into. I wanted to announce two upcoming events that are being held at Nordstrom's new St. Louis Galleria location that are must-attend soirees. The first event is an exclusive Grand Opening Gala on Wednesday, September 21st from 6 to 9pm. The tickets for the event are and include valet parking, fashion modeling, shopping, music, dinner and dessert buffets, cocktails, and other entertainment throughout the store. All proceeds from the event go to support COCA, Contemporary Art Museum, Missouri Botanical Garden, and St. Louis Art Museum. These are non-profit institutions in the St. Louis area that help the community, so attending this event would really help St. Louis citizens. The fact that they were going to have professional fitters there to measure me for my appropriate bra size piqued my interest. I haven't been professionally measured since 2007, and my "girls" have changed since then, if you know what I mean. I also wanted to see the new store before it officially opened to the masses, so attending the soiree was a no-brainer. I had to be there. I learned from Oprah that most women are not wearing the right bra size. We have a tendency to wear our bras either way too big or way too small, causing a disservice to our bodies and our posture. Wearing the right bra can not only do wonders for the way you look (rid back fat, make your clothes fit better, et al) but can also improve your confidence. Knowing that you are properly fitting in something that you have to wear everyday is most important----so why do we not take the time to make sure we are wearing the right fit bra? When I arrived at Nordstrom, I was introduced to my bra fitter, Maggie, who was flown in from San Fransisco just for this event. She's the real deal when it comes to finding the right fit and right bras for her clients, and began her task of getting me measured and finding bras in the store that I would like. Maggie also had the task of fitting one of my friends, Glamazini, a fellow blogger, who also made her appointment at the same time I did so we could get some bonding time in (yes, bonding over bras is a real activity!). Maggie hustled, going from her dressing room to mine picking out bras, checking the fit, and making sure that we not only felt fabulous, but we looked it under our clothing. Maggie was most amazing! I ended up picking up 2 bras, yoga pants, cami, tummy slimmer, and an awesome off the shoulder top that looks glam with a pair of jeans or leggings. My wallet was only so deep, so I couldn't get everything I wanted, but I will be back soon to get more bras. I feel like a million bucks! Nordstrom's Intimates department will fit you at no charge. They also work to help fit women who have had mastectomy surgery and they also carry mastectomy bras. This is a great service for women who don't want to be fitted in a store, rather than a medical environment. Check out some pictures from our day:

Wow, 2012 is officially here! How did you ring in the New Year? I spent it with my significant other in St. Louis, eating with friends, and then going out on the town to First Night St. Louis 2012 in Grand Center in midtown. There was a band, food, hot chocolate, fun, acrobats, and other unique things to check out. And of course there were the fireworks, which pop off after the countdown ends to the New Year. It is the number one killer of women, so we cannot sit idly by without doing something about this serious epidemic. Do right by the cause and show your support by being fabulous in something red. Friday, February 3rd is National Wear Red for Heart Disease, a day in which we all show our support for those dealing with heart disease. Since the inception of my blog, I have participated in National Wear Red Day and have urged my readers to do so. This year, I will not only be wearing red but attending the Bleeding Heart Project Launch Event in Chicago. The event is being hosted by BHP founder Raijean Stroud, who is a fashion blogger. She suffers from congestive heart failure and has had numerous surgeries and procedures since being diagnosed. Raijean wants to educate and empower others to take control of their health and encourages support and outreach through the Bleeding Heart Project. The month of February has also been deemed Heart Awareness Month, and there will be plenty of events, programs, and digital attention on the importance of heart health and heart disease prevention. My father also has congestive heart failure and suffers from heart disease. He has had 2 heart attacks and several stints put into his arteries to open them up. Heart disease runs in my family, so I also have to keep an eye on my heart health. It's not something I take lightly. Please make sure to wear red on Feb. 3rd and show your support. Despite the jokes I sometimes get for being with a service provider other than AT&T and Verizon, I actually enjoy being a T-mobile customer. I usually have decent coverage and my bill is low for what I get in comparison to my other friends who use other providers. I get more bang for my buck with T-mobile, which is why I continue to sing their praises. During CES, T-Mobile invited me to a special event at The Venetian, that was hosted by T-Mobile Girl Carly, and featured singer Colbie Caillat. There was food, swag, and a presentation from T-Mobile higher ups including Philipp Humm, CEO of T-Mobile. The message of the event was pretty clear. Yes, the AT&T merger fell through, but they are moving full steam ahead with offering 4G services in more areas while offering low-cost services so that everyone can have a smart phone and be able to browse the Internet on the go. T-Mobile is paying special attention to their pre-paid division, which is pretty large in comparison to other mobile phone providers. Pre-paid services are for those who cannot afford to have a traditional account, whose credit is not up to par for approval for a regular account, or for those who don't want to sign a contract. T-Mobile wants their pre-paid customers to feel like they are important too. This really appealed to me, not because I am a pre-paid customer, but because a lot of their pre-paid accounts are held by those who are in lower socio-economic areas. I find it quite wonderful that T-mobile wants to continue to lessen the digital divide by making it affordable for everyone to have a smart phone, no matter their economic status. T-mobile will also be offering cloud services for their customers so they can have access to their contacts, photos, information, and more wherever they are. There will also be a heavy emphasis on gaming services on devices. Simply put, T-Mobile isn't going anywhere anytime soon. The AT&T merger did slow them down a bit, but they are not down for the count. There will be more announcements in the upcoming months regarding their service offerings, new phones, and company plans. Here are a few pictures from the event:

The fabulous staff at behind the scenes have been working feverishly to create several grand opening events that St. Louis can really sink their teeth into. I wanted to announce two upcoming events that are being held at Nordstrom's new St. Louis Galleria location that are must-attend soirees. The first event is an exclusive Grand Opening Gala on Wednesday, September 21st from 6 to 9pm. The tickets for the event are and include valet parking, fashion modeling, shopping, music, dinner and dessert buffets, cocktails, and other entertainment throughout the store. All proceeds from the event go to support COCA, Contemporary Art Museum, Missouri Botanical Garden, and St. Louis Art Museum. The fact that they were going to have professional fitters there to measure me for my appropriate bra size piqued my interest. I haven't been professionally measured since 2007, and my "girls" have changed since then, if you know what I mean. I also wanted to see the new store before it officially opened to the masses, so attending the soiree was a no-brainer. I had to be there. I learned from Oprah that most women are not wearing the right bra size. We have a tendency to wear our bras either way too big or way too small, causing a disservice to our bodies and our posture. Wearing the right bra can not only do wonders for the way you look (rid back fat, make your clothes fit better, et al) but can also improve your confidence. Knowing that you are properly fitting in something that you have to wear everyday is most important----so why do we not take the time to make sure we are wearing the right fit bra? When I arrived at Nordstrom, I was introduced to my bra fitter, Maggie, who was flown in from San Fransisco just for this event. She's the real deal when it comes to finding the right fit and right bras for her clients, and began her task of getting me measured and finding bras in the store that I would like. Maggie also had the task of fitting one of my friends, Glamazini, a fellow blogger, who also made her appointment at the same time I did so we could get some bonding time in (yes, bonding over bras is a real activity!). Maggie hustled, going from her dressing room to mine picking out bras, checking the fit, and making sure that we not only felt fabulous, but we looked it under our clothing. Maggie was most amazing! I ended up picking up 2 bras, yoga pants, cami, tummy slimmer, and an awesome off the shoulder top that looks glam with a pair of jeans or leggings. My wallet was only so deep, so I couldn't get everything I wanted, but I will be back soon to get more bras. I feel like a million bucks! Nordstrom's Intimates department will fit you at no charge. They also work to help fit women who have had mastectomy surgery and they also carry mastectomy bras. This is a great service for women who don't want to be fitted in a store, rather than a medical environment. Check out some pictures from our day:

It is the number one killer of women, so we cannot sit idly by without doing something about this serious epidemic. Do right by the cause and show your support by being fabulous in something red. Friday, February 3rd is National Wear Red for Heart Disease, a day in which we all show our support for those dealing with heart disease. Since the inception of my blog, I have participated in National Wear Red Day and have urged my readers to do so. This year, I will not only be wearing red but attending the Bleeding Heart Project Launch Event in Chicago. The event is being hosted by BHP founder Raijean Stroud, who is a fashion blogger. She suffers from congestive heart failure and has had numerous surgeries and procedures since being diagnosed. Raijean wants to educate and empower others to take control of their health and encourages support and outreach through the Bleeding Heart Project. The month of February has also been deemed Heart Awareness Month, and there will be plenty of events, programs, and digital attention on the importance of heart health and heart disease prevention. My father also has congestive heart failure and suffers from heart disease. He has had 2 heart attacks and several stints put into his arteries to open them up. Heart disease runs in my family, so I also have to keep an eye on my heart health. It's not something I take lightly. Please make sure to wear red on Feb. 3rd and show your support. Despite the jokes I sometimes get for being with a service provider other than AT&T and Verizon, I actually enjoy being a T-mobile customer. I usually have decent coverage and my bill is low for what I get in comparison to my other friends who use other providers. I get more bang for my buck with T-mobile, which is why I continue to sing their praises. During CES, T-Mobile invited me to a special event at The Venetian, that was hosted by T-Mobile Girl Carly, and featured singer Colbie Caillat. There was food, swag, and a presentation from T-Mobile higher ups including Philipp Humm, CEO of T-Mobile. The message of the event was pretty clear. Yes, the AT&T merger fell through, but they are moving full steam ahead with offering 4G services in more areas while offering low-cost services so that everyone can have a smart phone and be able to browse the Internet on the go. T-Mobile is paying special attention to their pre-paid division, which is pretty large in comparison to other mobile phone providers. Pre-paid services are for those who cannot afford to have a traditional account, whose credit is not up to par for approval for a regular account, or for those who don't want to sign a contract. T-Mobile wants their pre-paid customers to feel like they are important too. This really appealed to me, not because I am a pre-paid customer, but because a lot of their pre-paid accounts are held by those who are in lower socio-economic areas. I find it quite wonderful that T-mobile wants to continue to lessen the digital divide by making it affordable for everyone to have a smart phone, no matter their economic status. T-mobile will also be offering cloud services for their customers so they can have access to their contacts, photos, information, and more wherever they are. There will also be a heavy emphasis on gaming services on devices. Simply put, T-Mobile isn't going anywhere anytime soon. The AT&T merger did slow them down a bit, but they are not down for the count. There will be more announcements in the upcoming months regarding their service offerings, new phones, and company plans. Here are a few pictures from the event:

Wow, 2012 is officially here! How did you ring in the New Year? I spent it with my significant other in St. Louis, eating with friends, and then going out on the town to First Night St. Louis 2012 in Grand Center in midtown. There was a band, food, hot chocolate, fun, acrobats, and other unique things to check out. And of course there were the fireworks, which pop off after the countdown ends to the New Year. The fabulous staff at behind the scenes have been working feverishly to create several grand opening events that St. Louis can really sink their teeth into. I wanted to announce two upcoming events that are being held at Nordstrom's new St. Louis Galleria location that are must-attend soirees. The first event is an exclusive Grand Opening Gala on Wednesday, September 21st from 6 to 9pm. The tickets for the event are and include valet parking, fashion modeling, shopping, music, dinner and dessert buffets, cocktails, and other entertainment throughout the store. All proceeds from the event go to support COCA, Contemporary Art Museum, Missouri Botanical Garden, and St. Louis Art Museum. These are non-profit institutions in the St. Louis area that help the community, so attending this event would really help St. Louis citizens. The fact that they were going to have professional fitters there to measure me for my appropriate bra size piqued my interest. I haven't been professionally measured since 2007, and my "girls" have changed since then, if you know what I mean. I also wanted to see the new store before it officially opened to the masses, so attending the soiree was a no-brainer. I had to be there. I learned from Oprah that most women are not wearing the right bra size. We have a tendency to wear our bras either way too big or way too small, causing a disservice to our bodies and our posture. Wearing the right bra can not only do wonders for the way you look (rid back fat, make your clothes fit better, et al) but can also improve your confidence. Knowing that you are properly fitting in something that you have to wear everyday is most important----so why do we not take the time to make sure we are wearing the right fit bra? When I arrived at Nordstrom, I was introduced to my bra fitter, Maggie, who was flown in from San Fransisco just for this event. She's the real deal when it comes to finding the right fit and right bras for her clients, and began her task of getting me measured and finding bras in the store that I would like. Maggie also had the task of fitting one of my friends, Glamazini, a fellow blogger, who also made her appointment at the same time I did so we could get some bonding time in (yes, bonding over bras is a real activity!). Maggie hustled, going from her dressing room to mine picking out bras, checking the fit, and making sure that we not only felt fabulous, but we looked it under our clothing. Maggie was most amazing! I ended up picking up 2 bras, yoga pants, cami, tummy slimmer, and an awesome off the shoulder top that looks glam with a pair of jeans or leggings. My wallet was only so deep, so I couldn't get everything I wanted, but I will be back soon to get more bras. I feel like a million bucks! Nordstrom's Intimates department will fit you at no charge. They also work to help fit women who have had mastectomy surgery and they also carry mastectomy bras. This is a great service for women who don't want to be fitted in a store, rather than a medical environment. Check out some pictures from our day:

Friday, February 3rd is National Wear Red for Heart Disease, a day in which we all show our support for those dealing with heart disease. Since the inception of my blog, I have participated in National Wear Red Day and have urged my readers to do so. This year, I will not only be wearing red but attending the Bleeding Heart Project Launch Event in Chicago. The event is being hosted by BHP founder Raijean Stroud, who is a fashion blogger. She suffers from congestive heart failure and has had numerous surgeries and procedures since being diagnosed. Raijean wants to educate and empower others to take control of their health and encourages support and outreach through the Bleeding Heart Project. The month of February has also been deemed Heart Awareness Month, and there will be plenty of events, programs, and digital attention on the importance of heart health and heart disease prevention. My father also has congestive heart failure and suffers from heart disease. He has had 2 heart attacks and several stints put into his arteries to open them up. Despite the jokes I sometimes get for being with a service provider other than AT&T and Verizon, I actually enjoy being a T-mobile customer. I usually have decent coverage and my bill is low for what I get in comparison to my other friends who use other providers. I get more bang for my buck with T-mobile, which is why I continue to sing their praises. During CES, T-Mobile invited me to a special event at The Venetian, that was hosted by T-Mobile Girl Carly, and featured singer Colbie Caillat. There was food, swag, and a presentation from T-Mobile higher ups including Philipp Humm, CEO of T-Mobile. The message of the event was pretty clear. Yes, the AT&T merger fell through, but they are moving full steam ahead with offering 4G services in more areas while offering low-cost services so that everyone can have a smart phone and be able to browse the Internet on the go. T-Mobile is paying special attention to their pre-paid division, which is pretty large in comparison to other mobile phone providers. Pre-paid services are for those who cannot afford to have a traditional account, whose credit is not up to par for approval for a regular account, or for those who don't want to sign a contract. T-Mobile wants their pre-paid customers to feel like they are important too. This really appealed to me, not because I am a pre-paid customer, but because a lot of their pre-paid accounts are held by those who are in lower socio-economic areas. I find it quite wonderful that T-mobile wants to continue to lessen the digital divide by making it affordable for everyone to have a smart phone, no matter their economic status. T-mobile will also be offering cloud services for their customers so they can have access to their contacts, photos, information, and more wherever they are. There will also be a heavy emphasis on gaming services on devices. Simply put, T-Mobile isn't going anywhere anytime soon. The AT&T merger did slow them down a bit, but they are not down for the count. There will be more announcements in the upcoming months regarding their service offerings, new phones, and company plans. Here are a few pictures from the event:

Wow, 2012 is officially here! How did you ring in the New Year? I spent it with my significant other in St. Louis, eating with friends, and then going out on the town to First Night St. Louis 2012 in Grand Center in midtown. There was a band, food, hot chocolate, fun, acrobats, and other unique things to check out. And of course there were the fireworks, which pop off after the countdown ends to the New Year. I learned from Oprah that most women are not wearing the right bra size. We have a tendency to wear our bras either way too big or way too small, causing a disservice to our bodies and our posture. Wearing the right bra can not only do wonders for the way you look (rid back fat, make your clothes fit better, et al) but can also improve your confidence. Knowing that you are properly fitting in something that you have to wear everyday is most important----so why do we not take the time to make sure we are wearing the right fit bra? When I arrived at Nordstrom, I was introduced to my bra fitter, Maggie, who was flown in from San Fransisco just for this event. She's the real deal when it comes to finding the right fit and right bras for her clients, and began her task of getting me measured and finding bras in the store that I would like. Maggie also had the task of fitting one of my friends, Glamazini, a fellow blogger, who also made her appointment at the same time I did so we could get some bonding time in (yes, bonding over bras is a real activity!). Maggie hustled, going from her dressing room to mine picking out bras, checking the fit, and making sure that we not only felt fabulous, but we looked it under our clothing. Maggie was most amazing! I ended up picking up 2 bras, yoga pants, cami, tummy slimmer, and an awesome off the shoulder top that looks glam with a pair of jeans or leggings. My wallet was only so deep, so I couldn't get everything I wanted, but I will be back soon to get more bras. I feel like a million bucks! Nordstrom's Intimates department will fit you at no charge. They also work to help fit women who have had mastectomy surgery and they also carry mastectomy bras. This is a great service for women who don't want to be fitted in a store, rather than a medical environment. Check out some pictures from our day:

It is the number one killer of women, so we cannot sit idly by without doing something about this serious epidemic. Do right by the cause and show your support by being fabulous in something red. Friday, February 3rd is National Wear Red for Heart Disease, a day in which we all show our support for those dealing with heart disease. Since the inception of my blog, I have participated in National Wear Red Day and have urged my readers to do so. This year, I will not only be wearing red but attending the Bleeding Heart Project Launch Event in Chicago. The event is being hosted by BHP founder Raijean Stroud, who is a fashion blogger. She suffers from congestive heart failure and has had numerous surgeries and procedures since being diagnosed. Raijean wants to educate and empower others to take control of their health and encourages support and outreach through the Bleeding Heart Project. The month of February has also been deemed Heart Awareness Month, and there will be plenty of events, programs, and digital attention on the importance of heart health and heart disease prevention. My father also has congestive heart failure and suffers from heart disease. He has had 2 heart attacks and several stints put into his arteries to open them up. Heart disease runs in my family, so I also have to keep an eye on my heart health. It's not something I take lightly. Please make sure to wear red on Feb. 3rd and show your support. Despite the jokes I sometimes get for being with a service provider other than AT&T and Verizon, I actually enjoy being a T-mobile customer. I usually have decent coverage and my bill is low for what I get in comparison to my other friends who use other providers. I get more bang for my buck with T-mobile, which is why I continue to sing their praises. During CES, T-Mobile invited me to a special event at The Venetian, that was hosted by T-Mobile Girl Carly, and featured singer Colbie Caillat. There was food, swag, and a presentation from T-Mobile higher ups including Philipp Humm, CEO of T-Mobile. The message of the event was pretty clear. Yes, the AT&T merger fell through, but they are moving full steam ahead with offering 4G services in more areas while offering low-cost services so that everyone can have a smart phone and be able to browse the Internet on the go. T-Mobile is paying special attention to their pre-paid division, which is pretty large in comparison to other mobile phone providers. Pre-paid services are for those who cannot afford to have a traditional account, whose credit is not up to par for approval for a regular account, or for those who don't want to sign a contract. T-Mobile wants their pre-paid customers to feel like they are important too. This really appealed to me, not because I am a pre-paid customer, but because a lot of their pre-paid accounts are held by those who are in lower socio-economic areas. I find it quite wonderful that T-mobile wants to continue to lessen the digital divide by making it affordable for everyone to have a smart phone, no matter their economic status. T-mobile will also be offering cloud services for their customers so they can have access to their contacts, photos, information, and more wherever they are. There will also be a heavy emphasis on gaming services on devices. Simply put, T-Mobile isn't going anywhere anytime soon. The AT&T merger did slow them down a bit, but they are not down for the count. There will be more announcements in the upcoming months regarding their service offerings, new phones, and company plans. Here are a few pictures from the event:

Wow, 2012 is officially here! How did you ring in the New Year? I spent it with my significant other in St. Louis, eating with friends, and then going out on the town to First Night St. Louis 2012 in Grand Center in midtown. There was a band, food, hot chocolate, fun, acrobats, and other unique things to check out. And of course there were the fireworks, which pop off after the countdown ends to the New Year. The fabulous staff at behind the scenes have been working feverishly to create several grand opening events that St. Louis can really sink their teeth into. I wanted to announce two upcoming events that are being held at Nordstrom's new St. Louis Galleria location that are must-attend soirees. The first event is an exclusive Grand Opening Gala on Wednesday, September 21st from 6 to 9pm. The tickets for the event are and include valet parking, fashion modeling, shopping, music, dinner and dessert buffets, cocktails, and other entertainment throughout the store. All proceeds from the event go to support COCA, Contemporary Art Museum, Missouri Botanical Garden, and St. Louis Art Museum. These are non-profit institutions in the St. Louis area that help the community, so attending this event would really help St. Louis citizens. The fact that they were going to have professional fitters there to measure me for my appropriate bra size piqued my interest. I haven't been professionally measured since 2007, and my "girls" have changed since then, if you know what I mean. I also wanted to see the new store before it officially opened to the masses, so attending the soiree was a no-brainer. I had to be there. I learned from Oprah that most women are not wearing the right bra size. We have a tendency to wear our bras either way too big or way too small, causing a disservice to our bodies and our posture. Wearing the right bra can not only do wonders for the way you look (rid back fat, make your clothes fit better, et al) but can also improve your confidence. Knowing that you are properly fitting in something that you have to wear everyday is most important----so why do we not take the time to make sure we are wearing the right fit bra? When I arrived at Nordstrom, I was introduced to my bra fitter, Maggie, who was flown in from San Fransisco just for this event. She's the real deal when it comes to finding the right fit and right bras for her clients, and began her task of getting me measured and finding bras in the store that I would like. Maggie also had the task of fitting one of my friends, Glamazini, a fellow blogger, who also made her appointment at the same time I did so we could get some bonding time in (yes, bonding over bras is a real activity!). Maggie hustled, going from her dressing room to mine picking out bras, checking the fit, and making sure that we not only felt fabulous, but we looked it under our clothing. Maggie was most amazing! I ended up picking up 2 bras, yoga pants, cami, tummy slimmer, and an awesome off the shoulder top that looks glam with a pair of jeans or leggings. My wallet was only so deep, so I couldn't get everything I wanted, but I will be back soon to get more bras. I feel like a million bucks! Nordstrom's Intimates department will fit you at no charge. They also work to help fit women who have had mastectomy surgery and they also carry mastectomy bras. This is a great service for women who don't want to be fitted in a store, rather than a medical environment. Check out some pictures from our day:

It is the number one killer of women, so we cannot sit idly by without doing something about this serious epidemic. Do right by the cause and show your support by being fabulous in something red. Friday, February 3rd is National Wear Red for Heart Disease, a day in which we all show our support for those dealing with heart disease. Since the inception of my blog, I have participated in National Wear Red Day and have urged my readers to do so. This year, I will not only be wearing red but attending the Bleeding Heart Project Launch Event in Chicago. The event is being hosted by BHP founder Raijean Stroud, who is a fashion blogger. She suffers from congestive heart failure and has had numerous surgeries and procedures since being diagnosed. Raijean wants to educate and empower others to take control of their health and encourages support and outreach through the Bleeding Heart Project. The month of February has also been deemed Heart Awareness Month, and there will be plenty of events, programs, and digital attention on the importance of heart health and heart disease prevention. My father also has congestive heart failure and suffers from heart disease. He has had 2 heart attacks and several stints put into his arteries to open them up. Heart disease runs in my family, so I also have to keep an eye on my heart health. It's not something I take lightly. Please make sure to wear red on Feb. 3rd and show your support. Despite the jokes I sometimes get for being with a service provider other than AT&T and Verizon, I actually enjoy being a T-mobile customer. I usually have decent coverage and my bill is low for what I get in comparison to my other friends who use other providers. I get more bang for my buck with T-mobile, which is why I continue to sing their praises. During CES, T-Mobile invited me to a special event at The Venetian, that was hosted by T-Mobile Girl Carly, and featured singer Colbie Caillat. There was food, swag, and a presentation from T-Mobile higher ups including Philipp Humm, CEO of T-Mobile. The message of the event was pretty clear. Yes, the AT&T merger fell through, but they are moving full steam ahead with offering 4G services in more areas while offering low-cost services so that everyone can have a smart phone and be able to browse the Internet on the go. T-Mobile is paying special attention to their pre-paid division, which is pretty large in comparison to other mobile phone providers. Pre-paid services are for those who cannot afford to have a traditional account, whose credit is not up to par for approval for a regular account, or for those who don't want to sign a contract. T-Mobile wants their pre-paid customers to feel like they are important too. This really appealed to me, not because I am a pre-paid customer, but because a lot of their pre-paid accounts are held by those who are in lower socio-economic areas. I find it quite wonderful that T-mobile wants to continue to lessen the digital divide by making it affordable for everyone to have a smart phone, no matter their economic status. T-mobile will also be offering cloud services for their customers so they can have access to their contacts, photos, information, and more wherever they are. There will also be a heavy emphasis on gaming services on devices. Simply put, T-Mobile isn't going anywhere anytime soon. The AT&T merger did slow them down a bit, but they are not down for the count. There will be more announcements in the upcoming months regarding their service offerings, new phones, and company plans. Here are a few pictures from the event:

Wow, 2012 is officially here! How did you ring in the New Year? I spent it with my significant other in St. Louis, eating with friends, and then going out on the town to First Night St. Louis 2012 in Grand Center in midtown. There was a band, food, hot chocolate, fun, acrobats, and other unique things to check out. And of course there were the fireworks, which pop off after the countdown ends to the New Year.
