After some prodding from a few online friends whom I really respect, I looked into SOPA further and realized it was an issue I just couldn't "ignore". As someone who has been on the Internet for 14 plus years, I really value my rights and freedoms. I also make a living utilizing the Internet, so it's important for me to be able to run my businesses without feeling like I am being impeded in any way.

Back in August, I wrote a blog post about Oprah's upcoming Lifeclass which was due to debut in October on her OWN cable channel. I was so excited about being apart of the class, which served to be an introspection of Oprah's past shows and guests, as she schooled us on the lessons behind the shows, and how they have shaped her life.

This is my 1,000th blog post on TheCubicleChick.com. Who would've thought that I would make it to 1,000 posts? That is like a major feat in the world of blogging---to reach this milestone for me is incredible.

There are only so many hours in the day, and lately, I have been burning the candle at both ends. Sometimes I wonder why I always set myself up for momentous tasks that always end up running me ragged.

I cannot believe it has almost been 2 years since I began blogging on TheCubicleChick.com. What started off as a hobby and a way for me to channel my creativity has become my 9 to 5, my hustle, my corporation, my everything.

Every once in awhile, someone comes into your life and you have no idea why---you just know that you are thankful for them being there for you no matter what. I feel the need to use this blog post as a way to say thank you to a special person who has made all the difference in my life.

It's time for me to get personal for a moment. Looking back on my life and where I have come from and the obstacles I've had to overcome, I never thought that I would be where I am now.

Some may define success as having a lot of money in the bank, hot cars, and cool houses. Others may define success as the ability to continue what you love to do without giving up.

As you can see on the new layout, there is a better format, and it is easy to get through to posts on the front of my page instead of crawling through pages to find something that may fit your fancy.

I also got word from Google last week via email that my site had been possibly hacked, and that they were putting a warning on their search engine when people search for my site.
