The event, "Celebrate the Color of Beauty" was held at Macy's in Fairview Heights, Illinois at St. Clair Square. The afternoon was full of beauty, fashion, and natural hair. MAC artists showed the guests how to apply make-up correctly, INC showcased the summer's fashion in a show hosted by Tammie Holland from St Louis' 104.9, and Nancy Calkenbusch was there to assist with bra fittings.

My wonderful friends over at Macy's (Kiffen and Kamal) gave me the opportunity to do do a one-on-one interview with Anthony, and I was very grateful!

Late during the week when I began hearing rumblings about a cold front moving into the St. Louis area after experiencing wonderful spring like temperatures of 80 degrees, I was puzzled.

So it's been a few weeks since my last video. I am not too happy about that since my goal this year has been to get on point with my vlogs and hopefully become You Tube partner by year's end.

In any event, in this week's video update, I discuss my STL Stayaway series (next stop, Hotel Lumiere), as well as the Atlanta Bloggers Unconference next weekend, high gas prices (oh the pain!) and Show Me the Blog Social Media and Blogging Conference which will take place this year on Oct. 21st through Oct. 22nd.

I recorded this video at an ungodly time of night last night and now I am on a plane en route back to St. Louis. Catch up on my adventures since I have been in Sin City, as well as some footage of the Curvy Revolution Expo at Planet Hollywood.

Indulge me for just a bit--- for above anything else, I am a mother. I never thought I would have a little girl, so 10 years after having a boy, I was quite happy when I found out I was having a mini-me---someone to play with, dress up with, and so girlie stuff with.
