Anywho, I can't be in Las Vegas for CES without doing a little shopping. I enjoy going to the Canal Shoppes at The Venetian, looking at exquisite shops like Herve Leger and Michael Kors.

The fab folks at Samsung set up an area upstairs in the North Hall. The Samsung Lounge was just that. It gave special invitees the ability to charge up their phones, laptops, tablets, cameras, and more, while offering a first-look at some of their products including the Samsung Galaxy Note, Series 7 Gaming PC (a 3D PC made for serious gamers), and their High Performance Ultrabook.

On Tuesday night, I attended the Clever Girls Collective Ladies Who Tech Happy Hour, which took place at the fabulous Wynn/Encore at BARTOLOTTA. It was hosted by Beth Blecherman (@TechMama), who I finally got to meet in person.

I am currently en route to the International Consumer Electronics Show in Vegas, better known as CES. It is the definitive trade show event of the year and boasts record number attendance.

I adore boutique hotels. Staying in corporate owned properties with all of the amenities is a treat, but for me, finding a neat hideaway hotel that is quaint and hospitable is something that I enjoy staying at.

It's not about the swag, but oh my. I had over 8 bags full of swag and gifts that were given to me and other attendees at this year's BlogHer in San Diego that just wrapped up on Sunday, so I shot a late night video to give you just a snapshot of all of the goodies I got.

I am so excited to be going to my first ever BlogHer Conference taking place this year in San Diego, the motherload of all blogging conferences for women.

As some of you may have noticed, I am kinda sorta addicted to attending conferences and events, especially those of the social media and blogging persuasion. Blogging and social media have become my passion and I enjoy gatherings that celebrate the genres as well as encourage learning, networking, and growth.

This year's WordCamp Chicago (this is the 3rd year) will take place Sat., July 30th and Sun., July 31st. The tracks I am most interested in attending are the ones that are geared to those of us who are using WordPress for our businesses, and of course getting better SEO results for the information on your blog.

Earlier this year, I went to CES (Consumer Electronics Show), it was a bananas. I am not a techie person at all, but I love seeing new gadgets, especially those that are everyday user friendly and can benefit my family and I.

So if by chance you are following me on any of my various social networks, then you may have read that I am in the City of Angels for the Blogging While Brown conference. This conference celebrates bloggers of all races, spectrum, and colors in terms of social media and blogging.

After attending many conferences over the last year or so, I consider myself to be a conference veteran. I have a boot camp type of ritual that I go through before every conference to make sure that I have everything I need, especially since most of the conferences I attend are in different cities, and I am not able to go back home and retrieve what I left.

When I received word that I had the opportunity to take my family to Branson for the Memorial Day weekend, I was excited beyond measure. I had never been to Branson before and wanted a vacation to take the family that wasn't too far away from home.

Blogging While Brown will always hold a special place in my heart. It was the first blogging/social media conference I attended and the networking and friendships I made that weekend last June are still in tact and growing.
