For me, most of the looks for the evening OVERwhelmed. Of course everyone wanted to outdo, outshock (ala Gaga), and outshine one another, which resulted in a lot of subpar looks that may have rocked the world of avant garde but didn't do much for the red carpet. But there were a few standouts that deserve mentioning as stellar red carpet frocks.
