TweetWith the passing of Elizabeth Edwards, we have lost another person to this devastating disease. Cancer knows no color, sex, religious origin, or socio-economic background. It is an equal opportunity disease that kills millions each year. I personally have not had anyone in my family with cancer (my grandmother who died when I was 9 months old did have breast cancer and had her breasts removed and died of a stroke), but I have had many friends and colleagues who have been affected by the disease in their families. We’ve made so many strides in medicine and technology, but cannot seem to find a cure for cancer.
