How did you ring in the New Year? I spent it with my significant other in St. Louis, eating with friends, and then going out on the town to First Night St. Louis 2012 in Grand Center in midtown.

The first time I saw Natalie Wood in a film, I was a junior in high school, and we were forced to watch West Side Story in drama class. She was simply stunning, her beauty almost looked too massive to be seen on the less than stellar school TV on rollers.

Yes, today marks the first day of school for the Cubicle brood. My spacers, 7 yr old 2nd grader and 17 yr old senior are back at school after two months of being on summer break.

Many people have blogged their recaps and giving you the details of what happened during the past few days, so I won't continue to follow the pack. But I will throw up three of the highlights of my weekend in San Diego. Pictorally speaking, they are pretty dope!

For most of my adult life, I have been #teamlonghair. Maybe it because I felt that society pressured me to keep it that way. Or maybe it was because I have a chubby face and always tried to hide it behind long hair.
