The Cubicle Chick’s Must-Have List for Winter

I am a very regimented and set in her ways type of gal when it comes to products and my beauty routine. When I find a product that I like, I use it thoroughly, and it becomes a staple in my lifelong product needs. I have a list of must-haves that I want to share with you that are items I feel are essential to every woman’s wintertime arsenal. These items are my must-haves, things that I simply cannot live without during these cold months. Check out my list to see if you agree, or if you have your own list, feel free to comment below and share!

Smith’s Rosebud Salve (Sephora) This luscious and old fashioned blend has been in existence since 1908 according to it’s packaging. It’s little tin can is quaint and easy to put in my coat pocket or purse, and makes my lips feel divine! I put on the Salve at night before I go to bed (after I do my facial regimen of course) and I also wear it on days that I am not wearing lipstick or lipgloss. It’s cheap, smells good, and works perfectly to keep your lips from being chapped.

Mother Earth’s Therapeutic Neck Pillow (Massage Envy) I purchased this gem of a pillow almost a month ago and I swear I use it every night. The pillow is ergonomically made and is filled with flax seed which gives off a slight aroma. You can heat up the pillow in the microwave or put it in the freezer and place it around your neck for instant comfort and relaxation. Currently, this pillow serves not only as a therapeutic device but as a nice heating solution during these cold months. I highly suggest you get one. I promise you won’t be disappointed.

Carol’s Daughter, You’re So Fresh Cleansing Gel- This is a great formula, I must say. I’ve never really been a fan of Carol’s Daughter; some of their products are too heavy for me and way to aromatic (if that makes any sense), but this shower gel is easy on the nose, floral and soft, and very easy to rinse and makes a good lather. I feel so awesome after a shower with this gel. My winter dry skin is thoroughly moisturized and well hydrated and I feel ready to take on the world!

Lush’s Double Fast Luck Emotibomb- If you have been a reader of my site, you know that I absolutely have become addicted to to Lush products, most notably, the Emotibombs. The Double Fast Luck Emotibomb is a seasonal item that is being sold until the beginning of 2010 in most Lush stores, and is scented with Lush’s signature fragrance, Karma. When I am in the shower with this thing, I do not want to get out! It fills my bathroom with lushness and a vibrancy that is addictive. I’ve stocked up so that I would have plenty even after it is no longer in stores.

Dermalogica’s Clean Start Welcome Matte Moisturizer- I have oily skin that is acne prone so I’ve never been much on moisturizer BUT I found a great one which works with my skin and doesn’t make it more oily. This formula is perfect for combination or oily skin and has a pleasant smell. Light and airy, I feel comfortable putting it on before applying my make-up. Cubicle Chicks, this moisturizer is the business and I highly recommend it, especially in this harsh winter weather.

Vaseline- I don’t care what anyone says, Vaseline is a staple in my beauty routine, especially during the winter. I use it to oil my skin after I take a shower and I promise you it works and it lasts all day long. There’s a reason its been around as long as it has and my 73 year old grandmother has used it since she was a little girl and her skin is as smooth and supple! She is the reason why I am a true believer in the product. And a jar is so inexpensive and lasts for months!

I've never tried any of those products but I may have to add them to see how they work.

I believe Vaseline should be a staple in EVERY woman's beauty regimen.

    Great post 🙂

vaseline – yes, yes, yes! been using it every night as long as I can remember; plus, Curel slathered all over my hands works wonders by the a.m. – wearing gloves whenever possible when outside too to prevent further chapping/aging of my hands

Yes Vaseline wearing with gloves at night as well as on your feet with socks will keep your skin moisturized and soft! Sometimes old school is indeed best!

That makes it two novels in five months, and I must say that while I missed my original deadline in February, I am so excited to have this one finished. The support you all showed me during the first release made me warm and fuzzy and so many of you reached out and asked when the next one would be. Well, here you go!

You can purchase 'A Wedding On Clermont Lane' on Amazon Prime, available in paperback for $10.99 and $7.99 for the eBook/Kindle edition. If you'd like a signed copy, a limited amount of copies are available. Hit the link in my bio.

I cannot wait for you to read this one and let me know your thoughts. Jasmine and The Robinson Family are back---and this time, it's for keeps!
