This hometown girl is beyond happy!
After barely getting in the playoffs and then valiantly winning a spot in the World Series, the St. Louis Cardinals win their 11th World Series title, which continues to make them the most storied National League baseball team in history. No other National League team has won as many World Series as we have.
The Cardinals are a true Cinderella story this year, as we entered the post season as a Wild Card. Now LaRussa and the boys will be able to add yet another ring to their impressive list.
I am so excited! St. Louis has had its share of bad press and bad news during the last few years—this was definitely right on time for our city.
