First Look: The HTC One X with Beats Audio

There’s no secret that I am addicted to the latest phones with awesome technology. Smart phones are like going to Disney to me—they bring me such joy. Recently, I was asked to be a part of HTC’s TroopOne program, where a group of bloggers, social media enthusiasts, and technological gurus are given the new HTC One X smartphone to have, hold, from this day forward, until a new phone do us part. Of course, I said yes–there was no way I wasn’t going to be a part of this program.

HTC has always wowed me with their capability of making good and durable phones. My son is still rocking his T-mobile HTC Sensation and with all of the dropping and mishandling of that phone that he does, it’s still ticking. I previewed the HTC One S (T-mobile version) last year, and I loved it. So the HTC One X is a step above.

So far out of the box, I’ve used it a bit, mostly to take pictures, since the camera is amazing. Even in low light situations, the 8 MP camera does great work. I like it also, because I was able to take rapid shots, something my iPhone 4S currently does not do. As a mom who attends her daughter’s every recital, concert, play, etc., I hate when my camera lags behind and misses a great shot. The HTC One X exceeded my expectations in that you are able to take shot after shot with virtually no lagging.

Another thing the HTC One X has that my current phone doesn’t have is Gorilla Glass that is scratch resistant and resilient to almost any phone dropping situation that may occur. The screen measures 4.7, and yes, is a great size for watching video and game playing on applications.

I’m looking forward to adding my music collection to the device so I can fully rock out to Beats Audio. A phone that can give superior music and sound quality will always win in my book.
