Auto Review: 2014 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport 4WD

Auto Review 2014 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport 4WD

Disclosure: I was loaned this vehicle in exchange for my social influence and honest review. The opinions in this review belong to me and are not indicative of the companies or brands mentioned.

During the Memorial Day Weekend, I had the opportunity to review the 2014 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport 4WD. And not only did I get to drive it, but I got to really test it out driving three hours from Maryland to Atlantic City for a fun getaway that was very much needed.

The 2014 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport seats 5 and is a cross between a small SUV and a hatchback. It’s aesthetically pleasing to the eye and is fun to drive. The four-wheel drive action makes it a car of convenience for going up hills or steep areas, or getting through snow or rough weather.

While driving the Outlander Sport, I navigated through the freeway and side streets with ease. It rained most of the way from Maryland to Atlantic City, so the roads were slick and tricky at times. The car never let me down, and it felt comfortable to drive and easy to maneuver.

The best thing about the Outlander Sport, though, is the audio system speakers. The Rockford-Fosgate speakers in the front and back of the vehicle are epic—it truly makes the car an enjoyable experience when traveling with some great sounds. I was most impressed with the speakers and the clarity of the music. I was surprised that a car that size packed a huge punch sound-wise.

2014 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport Radio

The Mitsubishi Outlander Sport isn’t as “tech” friendly as I am used to. It was hard to synch the bluetooth, and even when plugged with a USB, it was difficult to utilize my iPod. There also wasn’t a navigational system within the car to use, unlike other cars that I have recently reviewed. When traveling, you need to be able to find things easily with the assistance of navigation and turn-by-turn directions, and with this vehicle, it is missing that. We had to rely on our phones to get us everywhere, which ate up a lot of battery.

Pros are that the Outlander Sport is good on gas, easy to drive, and small enough to get into tight spaces. Not a bad car at all.

Here are some more details about the 2014 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport:

  • Rear-View Camera System
  • 7 Airbag Safety System
  • Sirius-XM radio
  • Heated side-view mirrors
  • Auto-off halogen lights
  • Four-wheel or All-wheel drive

The 2014 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport averages 24 city miles and 31 highway miles. Learn more about the vehicle here.

As you can see, I enjoyed my time with the Outlander Sport. I would recommend this vehicle for a small family who often take short trips.

The idea of a small SUV and hatchback sound fun.
It would also be easier for little ones to climb into on their own vs. an SUV. Glad you had a fun trip!
