February is American Heart Month, and I’ve partn February is American Heart Month, and I’ve partnered with @MedIQCME and Duke Health to raise awareness about atrial fibrillation (AFib), also known as irregular heartbeat which affects 12 million people. My father was diagnosed with AFib and my family has a history of this condition, so I do my best to learn as much as I can about it.

I’ve learned that when the atrium’s squeezing becomes irregular, blood doesn’t flow as smoothly through the heart and clots can form. Those clots can travel to the brain, disrupting the oxygen supply and causing a stroke. People with AFib are at approximately 5 times greater risk for stroke than those with regular heartbeats. Stroke is a leading cause of death and also of serious, long-term disability. It is essential to get to a hospital quickly if you suspect a stroke in yourself or others.Learn the acronym FAST to recognize the signs of stroke:

F = Face. Ask the person to smile. Does one side of the face droop?

A = Arms. Ask the person to raise both arms. Does one arm drift downward?

S = Speech. Ask the person to repeat a simple phrase. Is the speech slurred or strange?

T= Time. If you see any of these signs, call 9-1-1 right away.

Take this survey (link in bio) for the chance to win 1 of 5 $100 VISA gift cards—takes less than 10 minutes.

Celebrate the Holiday Season with Bud Light Lime Cran-Brrr-Ritas {Sponsored} #FiestaForever #GLAMFiestaForever

Celebrate the Holiday Season with Bud Light Lime Cran-Brrr-Ritas

Screen Shot 2014-11-13 at 6.53.17 PMIt’s the most wonderful time of the year as we prepare for the holiday season. As someone who enjoys entertaining especially during this time of year, I am always looking to wow my guests with good tasting food and beverages that are season appropriate and fun and festive. I typically have two to three fetes or get-togethers in my home during the holidays, so I am always on the hunt for things that make for a memorable event. Bud Light has introduced yet another fabulous drink in their seasonal line of margaritas called the Bud Light Lime Cran-Brrr-Rita. Created with one of the season’s most popular berries, it can give your event a festive flair while serving massive taste and flavor.

Packing the holiday flavor of cranberries with the awesome taste that Bud Light is known for, Bud Light Lime Cran-Brrr-Ritas are perfect to serve at your next seasonal soiree. Keep it on ice and serve to your guests in a Tom Collins or pilsner glass, and for more flair, top off the glass with a few fresh cranberries for a fabulous display.

Bud Light Lime Cran-Brrr-Rita’s

I plan on pairing my Bud Light Lime Cran-Brrr-Ritas with an artisan cheese plate with nuts and crackers. Partnering the Bud Light Lime Cran-Brrr-Ritas with the cheese and the nuts not only brings out the flavor and pleases the palate, but makes for a great snack item before the appetizer and main course. And if you aren’t planning to serve a full menu, the cheese and the nuts alongside the Bud Light Lime Cran-Brrr-Rita still makes for an impressive spread, which can please your guests.

There is really no wrong way to serve your Bud Light Lime Cran-Brrr-Ritas. As long as you are having a good time with people around you, then you are able to experience the joys of the season alongside a wonderful cranberry treat.

Bud Light Lime Cran-Brrr-Ritas will only be available in stores through the winter season, so make sure you stock up for the various parties and events you may be hosting.

As for me, I will have some Bud Light Lime Cran-Brrr-Ritas on hand for my first official home gathering on Thanksgiving. I cannot wait to entertain and catch up with all of my family and friends on Turkey Day.

Enjoy Bud Light Lime Cran-Brrr-Ritas and have a happy and safe holiday season. Drink responsibly.

The awesome flavors of Bud Light Lime Ritas are so incredibly delicious that wherever they go, a party happens! For more Fiesta Inspiration, visit https://www.facebook.com/budlightlimeritas!

I love the idea of pairing it with an artisan cheese platter! Cran-brr-rita has been on my must-try list since last year, so I’ll have to finally give it a go this holiday season.

I’m not a drinker at all, but I love the taste of the Cran-brrr-rita. It tastes just like cranberries. With a kick. Thanks for commenting. 🙂

Yolo, they were released earlier this month in most markets. Check your local grocer. I’m pretty sure you can find them 🙂
