February is American Heart Month, and I’ve partn February is American Heart Month, and I’ve partnered with @MedIQCME and Duke Health to raise awareness about atrial fibrillation (AFib), also known as irregular heartbeat which affects 12 million people. My father was diagnosed with AFib and my family has a history of this condition, so I do my best to learn as much as I can about it.

I’ve learned that when the atrium’s squeezing becomes irregular, blood doesn’t flow as smoothly through the heart and clots can form. Those clots can travel to the brain, disrupting the oxygen supply and causing a stroke. People with AFib are at approximately 5 times greater risk for stroke than those with regular heartbeats. Stroke is a leading cause of death and also of serious, long-term disability. It is essential to get to a hospital quickly if you suspect a stroke in yourself or others.Learn the acronym FAST to recognize the signs of stroke:

F = Face. Ask the person to smile. Does one side of the face droop?

A = Arms. Ask the person to raise both arms. Does one arm drift downward?

S = Speech. Ask the person to repeat a simple phrase. Is the speech slurred or strange?

T= Time. If you see any of these signs, call 9-1-1 right away.

Achieving Your Financial Benchmarks with Regions Bank

Did you know that it is easy to achieve your financial benchmarks with Regions Bank? See why they are changing the game when it comes to banking.

Thank you to Regions Bank, member FDIC for sponsoring this post.

One of the many lessons I wish I would’ve learned earlier in life is how to be better with money. I have come a long way, but I often wonder how much farther I would be now if I had a financial institution that helped me not only to hold my money, but ways I could save and build upon it as well. Now that I am a mother of two and a business owner, finances and how to manage them are always at the top of my list, and being able to have a bank that understands my needs is critical to my overall financial success.

Mamas, do you also wish you had a better relationship with your bank that increased your financial knowledge while helping you with your money matters?

Here’s one banking tip from one working mom to another—while working with Regions Bank recently, I have become acquainted with the services they offer their customers, and they are really changing the game as it relates to banking.

Forget the traditional way you have banked before—with Regions Bank, they want to be your partner in helping you create financial benchmarks with your money while giving you flexibility and technology to improve your overall banking experience. Whether you are online or in their branches, Regions has you more than covered.

Here’s how:

Innovative New Branches

Regions Bank wants to make it convenient for all of their customers. With their innovative new branches, customers can experience the company’s most modern features to-date and outfitted with new technology and more personal service.

Regions’ new branches feature a modern look and advanced technology that is user-friendly. These innovative features and services cater to busy employees, parents, families, and businesses, which is a win/win for most of us.

Did you know that it is easy to achieve your financial benchmarks with Regions Bank? See why they are changing the game when it comes to banking.

Video Banking ATMs

Regions’ Video Banking ATMs connect customers with a Regions Video Banker via live two-way video. Along with processing most banker transactions, Video Bankers can help customers with account maintenance and general inquiries.  They’re available during extended hours on weekdays as well as on weekends and most holidays. Talk about convenience!

Customers can also access Regions’ DepositSmart ATM located in the branch’s 24-hour vestibule, which can accept deposits and cash checks for customers at any time, day or night. For busy working moms on the go, this is a feature that we can appreciate.

Banking is getting easier with Regions Bank and their new St. Louis locations. Learn about their new innovative features and updated banking centers.

Regions In Our Community

Regions just opened a new branch location in Lemay, increasing their total branch locations in the St. Louis market to 64 with 89 ATMs. This is great news for those of us who bank with Regions!

If you are looking for a bank that will improve your overall banking experience, stop by and meet the team at the Lemay branch. They can walk you through the technology, products and services that can help you focus more on life and worry less about money.

They are also having a grand opening event for the Lemay branch on Saturday, March 7th from 10:30 a.m.-1:00 p.m., so be sure to put it on your calendar now so you don’t forget!

If you aren’t in St. Louis, there are approximately 1,425 Regions branches and 1,993 ATMS across the South, Midwest and Texas. I know that many of you are working moms who have a lot on your plates—I am a fan of Regions Bank because of how they improved my overall banking experience.
