Christmas came a little early in New York City. While visiting my daughter in college, I was able to preview Macy’s Holiday Lane! It was the first time I’ve been able to see the Macy’s Holiday Magic up close and personal, and what a sight it was. It kicks off their 100 Days to Christmas, which will encompass the 99th Annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade.
Herald Square Macy’s Holiday Lane is located on the 9th floor of the iconic flagship store, just above Santaland on the 8th floor. Showcasing traditional Christmas decor alongside creative, whimsical delights of all types of festive Christmas pageantry, Holiday Lane is a Christmas lover’s dream.

Holiday Lane is a collection of Christmas decor, ornaments, gifts, and more. It’s a one-stop holiday stop with everything you need to deck your halls. Each area has different holiday themes that inspire, delight, and get you excited about creating your own Christmas magic.

Even if you aren’t in the market for the offerings at Macy’s Holiday Lane, there’s still plenty to see and do! Here’s a short rundown:
Family Time
As the season kicks into high gear, a visit to Holiday Lane can be a family affair. Enjoy the scenes and scents of the season while indoors. Spend some family time together and peruse the holiday offerings. You can spend time as a family voting on your favorite Christmas scenes, and even see which Christmas-themed gifts they may want.

As someone who is always looking for creative date ideas, a trip to Macy’s Herald Square to the 8th and 9th floors is a treat! Vibe out with the holiday music, take selfies, and enjoy one another’s company as you peruse the lane together. It would give you both something to remember.

Get inspiration

I enjoyed seeing Macy’s Holiday Lane up close and personal, and I look forward to seeing Santaland this year, too! I pray that Christmas comes early, and I can make another visit to The Big Apple during this holiday season. Fingers crossed!
