I recently created a playlist of inspirational songs that help fuel me and give me purpose for aiming high and going hard to reach my goals. I thought I would share this soundtrack or playlist with you guys, and maybe you could even give me a few of your selections for songs that inspire you as well so I can add them to mine.
At 59 years old, Chaka is killing ’em. The middle aged singer is bringing out her inner Stella and getting her groove back by shedding some serious weight. I ain’t mad, Chaka! You look amazing!
I have pretty much given up on music videos. Most of the time, when I do manage to watch a station that actually plays them, I am turned off by what I see. Half naked girls dancing and popping, leaving…
As someone who travels a lot, I have become accustomed to having my iPod with me at all times. When I am in wheels up in the air, I have to have my iPod blaring in my ear while listening to one of my many iTunes playlist. I am always open to listen to new music, and I love discovering new singers and independent artists.
At this point in time, Adele can do no wrong. After undergoing throat surgery on her vocal chords last year, and winning 6 Grammys for the songs that made up her latest album, ’21’, Adele is the IT girl of the moment.

Amy continues to live through her memory and her music, and Amy’s tribute album, Lioness: Hidden Treasures, debuted last week. It features the single and video to ‘Our Day Will Come’, a melodic odyssey of Amy’s jazzy and distinct vocals backed by a soulful band.
Last night’s 2011 American Music Awards was all about lip synching, Spanx, Fiats, delusions of grandeur, and every once in awhile, good music.
Does anyone feel where I am coming from? Does anyone drink from the Kool-Aid that is Adele? Isn’t the she most brilliant vocalist of our time, of this generation? Each note she sings identifies with my soul. Unkempt.
Michael was the epitome of an icon, yet he still remains a enigma. We knew that he was a talented singer, dancer, songwriter, and creative spirit. He was a loving father, a generous and kind soul, but he was also a guy who most couldn’t figure out.
