As a hosted guest, I am recapping my Girlfriend Getaway experience at Marriott Grand St Louis.
There’s something about being with your girlfriends that helps make everything better.
Recently, I got the opportunity to host an epic bash at Marriott Grand St Louis. You may have remembered me sharing my stay at the newly remodeled hotel located in the Washington Ave. district of downtown St. Louis last year. This time around, I invited my #STLChicks crew to join me. As the hostess, I was given one of their posh and well-appointed suites to stay in for the night.
Titled the Grand Networking Affair, I invited area locals to come and get there networking on while noshing on complimentary appetizers. It was an intimate group of social media movers and shakers. Many of whom I knew, but some who I met for the first time.
We held court in the private dining room off of the lobby. It was a great group of peeps, and I was honored to host such an awesome crew.
But as they say, after the show, it’s the after party. A few of my girlfriends were able to also partake in a staycation at Marriott Grand St Louis as they put us up for the night. My daughter tagged along for the night as well.
We spent the rest of our evening laughing, dancing, eating, bonding, and sharing gems to help one another empire build.
It was a dope feeling to be able to let loose and enjoy one another’s company while taking in the grandness of the hotel.
The weekend was a great way for me to re-bond with my sisterhood while making new connections and solidifying others. Our weekend spent together reinvigorated me, and now I am ready once again to take the world by storm. And the suite—well, it was gorgeous!
Need some tips for your Girlfriend Getaway? Here are a few I’d like to share:
- Make sure to get together with your girlfriends at least once a quarter. Make it a priority and use a Facebook group as a virtual planning point to make sure you are all connected.
- Try to do something each time that you’ve never done before. Pajama jammy jam, day trip to the wine country—anything that can create a memorable experience.
- Have vault moments that are only shared between your group.
- Staycations are a great way to get together, especially when you are in the same city. Use a hotel like Marriott Grand St Louis to convene and have fun.
The Marriott Grand St Louis was a perfect place to host our festivities. With a lobby bar with charging stations and wifi, a private dining room, a restaurant for meals (Zenia Bar and Grille), 8th Street Pantry to get snacks for the evening, and a Starbucks on site, our every wish was granted. There’s even a well appointed fitness center for guests. Express check-in is a snap and the staff is always attentive and courteous.
We are looking forward to our next adventure together. I’ve already begun planning our next Girlfriend Getaway!
Thanks to Alexis and Marriott Grand St Louis for hosting my Grand Networking Affair and my #STLChicks. You guys are the best!
