5 Influencer Lessons from the Color Full Lives Podcast #AD #ColorFullLives

CFL_FinalLogo

This post about the Color Full Lives Podcast Series is sponsored by State Farm®.

Digital mavens Angela Yee, Francheska, and Tatiana King-Jones chat and give valuable lessons for influencers in their first Color Full Lives Podcast Episode.

What happens when you put three dynamic, successful, and highly driven women together to chat about the digital space and what they have learned? The result is a new audio series called Color Full Lives Podcast. The podcast series brings radio show host Angela Yee, Hey Fran Hey‘s Francheska, and tech advocate Tatiana King-Jones together to discuss topics relevant to women of color.

I’m working with State Farm to share a few of the gems given during their first episode to inspire other women of color. Listening to these women is like being a fly on the wall during a conversation with three close girlfriends who are being very open and transparent. They share what has made them successful, but also mistakes they’ve made, which makes it an honest exchange. I’m a huge fan of the Color Full Lives Podcast already!

As a Digital Debutante myself, I found the info and gems dropped during the program useful and can’t wait to apply them to my own business.

Lessons from the Color Full Lives Podcast

I want you to listen to it for yourself, so I am sharing 5 influencer lessons from the first episode of the Color Full Lives Podcast series, sponsored by State Farm.

1. Networking is your friend

Francheska is the more reserved one when it comes to going to events and mixing and mingling. Even she admits that networking is an integral part of success, especially in the digital age. It is important to network with other influencers and attend events that can help promote your brand.

2. Get out of your comfort zone

Angela discussed getting out of your comfort zone at length and being scared. If you are comfortable every day, then you need to do something that scares you. Something that will get you moving towards things that you have been afraid to do. This will not only make you a better person but more of an innovator.

3. Dope team

Once you get established, it’s time to build your team. Being a team of one is good for a while, but if you have grown, then you need help—that is a good thing. Don’t be afraid to reach out and hire people you trust to help you. You can’t do it all alone.

Build a Dope Tribe

4. Invest in yourself

There comes a time that you have to invest in yourself. Whether it’s a new laptop or camera or website, the investment made can ultimately assist you in making more money. It’s okay to spend those coins on your brand.

5. Passion to profit

Angela, Francheska, and Tatiana talked about how their passions and how they led to profit. The things that they were excited about became a way for them to make money, and that is possible for everyone to do if you apply a plan. Purpose-Passion-Profit. Work those P-s.

5 Influencer Lessons from the Color Full Lives Podcast

Future Color Full Lives Podcast episodes will focus on topics such as relationships, finances, entrepreneurship, education and health & wellness.

Angela, Francheska, and Tatiana King-Jones will also be on hand in NOLA! The 2016 Essence Festival® presented by Coca-Cola® is where State Farm will officially kick the Color Full Lives Podcast into high gear, and connect with the over 500,000 mostly African American female attendees with a multitude of engagements that include:

  • A live Color Full Lives Podcast episode
  • Virtual reality (VR) painting where users will be able to leverage the technology to paint vibrant images
  • Engagements with celebrity talent, including songstress Monica, as well as few surprise guests.

Color Full Lives will be on the Main Stage of the Superdome each night with a live LED dance performance. There will also be engagements in the Money & Power section of the festival that will include panel discussions with celebrity financial experts and opportunities and to have one-on-one conversations with State Farm agents.

Pretty dope!

You can listen to the Color Full Lives Podcast on iTunes and on Soundcloud.
