I have some exciting news I’d like to share with you! After meeting with Haven House’s Program Director, Paula, a few weeks ago, I made it a mission to do what I could to help the organization. So I am pleased to announce that I will be hosting a wonderful event on Saturday, November 6th called Harvest Day at Haven House from 12-4 pm. During this event, you can take a tour of Haven House, meet the staff, and get to know about this wonderful gem in the St. Louis community.
In addition, we are asking everyone who attends to bring at least one of the following items to donate to Haven House:
- Laundry detergent (powder or liquid, new unopened)
- Queen size bedding sheets (new, unopened)
- Waterproof mattress covers (new, unopened)
- Ziploc bags (new, unopened)
- Vacuum cleaners (new or used)
Haven House utilizes a lot of these items for their guests on a daily basis, and it would be great if we could give them a surplus during the fall/winter months. And, each person who brings in one of the above-mentioned items will be entered into a raffle to win a gift card from Schnucks!
Help a cause AND get some moola for groceries! Who can beat that?
Light refreshments will be served. We urge each and every one for you to come out and see us at Haven House.
