Zoya UltraGlitters Nail Polish Review

The wonderful people over at Zoya (you can follow them on Twitter under @Zoya_NailPolish) sent me some wonderful colors to try from their UltraGlitter line. When I received them, I fell instantly in love with the vibrant and shimmery hues. The colors also looked perfect for the holiday season. I couldn’t wait to dive them and try them off myself.

I am not one for painting my nails. I have acrylic overlay over my nails (which are real by the way) and usually get my polish changed when I get a fill. But of course when I received the polishes, I had to try them right away. So here it goes! And I apologize in advance for the not-so-perfect nail painting. LOL.

The first color up is LUNA. A silvery hue that is very avant garde and bold. The polish was very easy to apply and I only had to use two coats (and a top coat of course). I am a very experimental when it comes to colors and LUNA is now in my top ten favorite colors. I am sure I will be rocking it often this winter. The photos make the color look whiter than it is, but it is very much a silver color with specs of glitter, shimmer. Definitely a holiday must have. The only pro I would have with this color and product is when removing, the glitter was extra hard to remove.

Next up was NOVA. The one drawback with this color is that in order to replicate the vibrancy of the color in the bottle, I had to apply three coats of polish. I also have long nail beds so that may be a reason why it took one more extra coat than normal. The color, again, is holiday ready and fashion forward. Zoya’s applicator brush glided against my nails very easy and made it almost effortless to paint them.

The last color I applied was ASTRA which was very similar to NOVA. As a matter of fact, in these pics, I don’t know ifyou can even tell they are two different colors. ASTRA is a step lighter (and more “red) than NOVA (NOVA is more plum, purple color) but still gave the same effect. Again, I had to use three coats in order to get that “bottle” look. Personally, I enjoy darker colors for my skin tone so NOVA would be my pic over ASTRA, but both colors are stunning, especially in person.

All-in-all, I would recommend these fabulous colors to all of my Cubicle Chicks. Fun, vibrant, and overall fashion forward, these lacquers area must have for any fabulous woman’s collection.

I remember you telling me about the lip balms. Maybe I will request to review that next time. I am going to be rocking LUNA out. I loved that color! 🙂

I am SO in love with LUNA, I need that in my life! And I use the nail polish remover that you dip your finger in because I paint my nails allll the time, makes it easier to get those metallics and glitters off because it soaks your nail while removing the polish… and it's actone free!

Thanks for commenting! I probably should've tried that dip and remove nail polish remover tonight. It was very difficult to remove all of the polish the traiditonal way, especially after repeated changes. Thanks for the recommendation! 🙂

I think my favorites are Luna & Nova! Yeah I find that with most glittery polishes I end up having to use a clear finishing coat for that extra shine. These are great holiday colors. Great Review!

Luna and Nova are my favorite too! I am wearing Nova now and I've had several compliments on the color. Zoya has moved up on my list of faves as far is polish is concerned. Watch out OPI!

All the colours are just gorgeous but the Nova UltraGlitter is just out of this world. I used to have nails like the models but sadly they are all broken and short due to health problem. They are slowly starting to grow again & i hope to have them back to how they used to be & then i will be able to buy & use this gorgeous & out of this world nailvarnish. xx

Yes I loved these colors Zoya sent me! I get french manicure done most of the time in the salon but I am falling in love with these most recent colors I have been supplied. 🙂
