5 Events that I Want to Attend Before I Get Old

At the age of 35, I feel like I have done a lot but there is still so much for me to do. Being the travelista that I am, I have been blessed to live and travel to many places, but I haven’t conquered nearly as many events as I would like to—there is so much for one to do and see on this earth! With that being said, you can’t do everything you want but you can dream, right?

Here are 5 events that I want to attend before I get old:

Golden Globes/Oscars/Grammys

I am such an award show groupie! I am a lover of red carpet, designer gowns, and Ryan Seacrest, so the Golden Globes and Oscars would be a wonderful event for me to attend. I am hoping one day they reach out to a little ole blogger like me to report from the red carpet. It would so be heaven on earth for me!

The Superbowl

It’s the sport of kings, better than diamond rings….FOOTBALL. Football is the most watched sport here in the U.S. and the Superbowl is the holy grail of sporting events. I would love to be there front and center and watch the game. One day, I promise you, I will be there!

NYC Fashion Week

I was a super model in my former life. And before you laugh, I was! Anyway, I would love to attend NYC Fashion week either fall or spring. I don’t care! Just to be there and attend some spunky and fab events would be the icing on the cake of my life. Yes indeed!

A Prince Concert

Prince is the ultimate performer. And since he’s been making rounds doing his Welcome 2 America tour, I would LOVE to be in the audience somewhere while he sings such staples as Purple Rain, Raspberry Beret, and Diamonds and Pearls. Seeing Prince perform live would be the greatest!

Meeting Oprah

I know meeting Oprah would not be an event, but for me, it would be something for the record books. I have been a fan of Oprah since I was 10 years old and she is one of the few people who I truly look up to in media. I always wanted to be in the audience for her show, but since this is her last season, that probably will never be—but I can still dream of the day that I can finally meet the woman who has inspired me in so many ways.

I am hoping that before I get too old, I can indulge in at least three out of these five events. If you dream it, you can achieve it! 🙂

I love this list! I’ve done 2 out of 5. Fashion Week and Prince. The other 3 are on my list too.

I also have a list of things I must do & fashion week & the awards shows are two of them. what i’ve noticed is it’s all who you know in regards to fashion week. last year I was able to attend one of the smaller shows (bebe) that was not at the tents & for this fall my plan is to try & network my way to the tents. Meeting Kimora Lee was on my list ( she’s a branding Queen to me) & I was able to this year, she was awesome. let’s make 2011 the year to scratch off on our list.
