Teach Teens the Value of Money with Mango Prepaid Card

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Mango Money. All opinions are 100% mine.

Now that my son is 17 years old, he is coming into his own responsibility wise. He is learning to manage his own money and how to handle his expenses with the money that he earns. He is also purchasing items off of the Internet via iTunes, eBay, Amazon, and more with the money he makes, so it’s important that he has a method to pay for the items he wants, but doesn’t allow him to go overboard. Which is why I was excited to hear about Mango, a prepaid Mastercard debit card.

Mango Money is a cool card that gives my son the flexibility of using his card for debit or where Mastercard is accepted, on and offline. It only allows him to use the money that has been loaded on his card, so there is no going over or paying overdraft fees or interest. The money is loaded on his card, and there is no credit check required. Enrollment is free and easy, and the money loaded onto the card is FDIC insured.

You can also receive direct deposit instantly on Mango Money every time you get paid, and users can check their balances online or on the go on their wireless phones. Mango Money users can transfer money to one another via phone as well.

There is a $5 monthly fee to use the card, but the fee is waived if $500 or more dollars are loaded onto the card each month.

So instead of paying my son his allowance with money, I opt to use a prepaid card so that he has access to the money instantly, and can use it anywhere Mastercard can be used. This is also a great option for when he graduates and attends college out of town. I can add money onto the card, and he can use it for his expenses.

For more information, visit Mango Money online.
