Thank You For Being a Friend (Golden Girl Style)

I have never been one to be sappy or overemotional (I like to keep my fabulous bitch persona), but there does come a time where you have to show some emotion, especially when it is someone you care about. Every once in awhile, someone comes into your life and you have no idea why—you just know that you are thankful for them being there for you no matter what. I feel the need to use this blog post as a way to say thank you to a special person who has made all the difference in my life.

Ladies and gentleman, Cubes and Dudes, I present to you, Robyn from RobynsOnlineWorld.

Robyn is a fellow blogger here in St. Louis and is also a mother to a teen boy just like me. Robyn and I met online via a mutual Twitter follower of both of ours (@TKHarmonic). I was told that she (Robyn) lived in St. Louis as well and she was someone that I should know. So I followed her and she did the same and slowly, we began to chat online via social networks.

We first met for lunch last October before Show Me the Blog and began meeting every so often to catch up. Fast forward to now where we meet almost weekly, chat daily, and we have become more than online friends—we are the real deal. I honestly don’t know what I would do without her in my life. We have a lot in common, but we are polar opposites too. We are bossy, loud (her words, not mine!), opinionated. We both have sons who are almost identical in nature and attitudes, and we both love reality TV. Robyn is that kind of girl who just makes you feel comfortable no matter what. She’s not into cliques, or namedropping, or using others to advance—she is just genuine and real and I LOVE HER!

Robyn, my friend, you are such a blessing. I am so glad that you call me your friend and I am so glad that we have bonded over the last year.

In a community of bloggers that seem to be out for self, Robyn is a true gem. I am appreciative of her friendship and her support. Thank YOU!

This concludes my lovefest for the time being, but if you aren’t already, please follow my very good friend, Robyn Wright on Twitter HERE and visit her blog HERE. Tell her I sent’cha!

Thank You For Being a Friend is a new series of blog posts dedicated to friendship and those in my life who have greatly impacted me for the better. It’s written as a way to give back to those who have given so generously to me.
