Create Positive Visual Goals with The Timeline Project

I am all about positive self-affirmations and visual goals. As someone who has struggled with goal setting in the past, I learned that stimulating me visually with photos and words really helps inspire me to reach higher personally. I’ve been utilizing vision boards for the past several years now, and it has done wonders for me both professionally and personally.

Recently, I stumbled across The Timeline Project, created by Bayer Healthcare. It’s an online community that gives you an canvas to visually showcase your dreams and visions for the future, which can help you also achieve them. You create your own timeline, which is easy to make online, and then you can share it with others and also view others’ timelines.

At its foundation, Bayer Healthcare created this model to encourage women to discuss and plan their birth control options—a timeline for when they wanted kids (if they wanted them), adoption, etc. But The Timeline Project can be used for any plan or dream that you have.

The Timeline Project is super user friendly and easy to navigate. In no time, you can make your own timeline that shows off your personality alongside your hopes and dreams.

You can create multiple goals on your timeline. There are many categories and areas to choose from, and if you don’t see your category or goal list, you can submit one to be added.

Here’s more from The Timeline Project website:

Whatever you want to be or be a part of, you know that leaving it to luck, to chance, to fate, probably isn’t going to get you there. You’ll need to plan and focus and work really hard. That’s where The Timeline Project™ comes in to help. It’s all about capturing your dreams, zooming them into focus, prioritizing and making them actually happen. It’s an online tool that’s part journal, part mood board, part info-rich resource. And it’s all yours to play with, get inspired, update, and share as often as you want.

I created my own timeline and you can view it here:

I highly recommend The Timeline Project as a tool you can use to create visual goal-setting timelines.

If you are in the St. Louis area, I have an event that I am co-hosting that is all about creating your vision and making it happen. Mark your calendars for Saturday, November 8, 2014 from 10am 1o 2pm. More details forthcoming.
