Get Your Kids Reading with a Pajama Jam Reading Party {Sponsored}

Get Your Kids Reading with a Pajama Jam Reading Party  {Sponsored}

My ten-year old Chicklet loves to read. Ever since she has been able to pick up a book, my daughter has been a bookworm. I appreciate her love of reading and try to nourish it as much as I can with regular trips to both the library and the bookstore.

And even as she grows into a tween, she still likes me to read to her before bedtime. It is a bonding activity for us as she listens attentively to me read books that she could very well read on her own. On the weekends, we elongate our bedtime reading moments, and we sometimes even make popcorn or have snacks.

As a partner with EVEREADY® and Scholastic, I want to make these moments as fun and memorable as possible. They’ve created a unique way the Pajama Jam Reading Party to encourage families to read together all year long.

Reading can be a bore for some children, but how about reading in the dark under a fort in the bedroom? Grab a flashlight, some good books, a few tunes, and snacks and enjoy some family reading fun before bed in your jammies.

This is just what The Chicklet and I did a few nights ago. Instead of our usual before bed routine, we had our very own Pajama Jam. I don’t know who had more fun—her or me. One of her American Girls also joined us for some fun.

Pajama Jam Party

You can learn more on how to create your own Pajama Jam Reading Party. There are tools and resources to help you make this a “party” your kids will never forget, and a EVEREADY® Party Toolkit that can help you plant your jam.

You can also GET A FREE BOOK!

Purchase EVEREADY® Gold Batteries and Flashlights, and there are codes on specially marked boxes that will allow you to get a free book from Scholastic. Enter those codes on the Free Scholastic Book Offer Page, and your child(ren) can pick out a free book. Then have your own Pajama Jam Reading Party of your own. How fun!

Scholastic and EVEREADY® are teaming up to help parents shine a light on reading, even in the dark! EVEREADY®’s high quality batteries and flashlights are reliable and affordable and can be purchased at Dollar General or Target.

This is a sponsored conversation written by me on behalf of EVEREADY®. The opinions and text are all mine.
