Living Healthier in the New Year with CVS #CVSDayInTheLife (Sponsored)

Living Healthier in the New Year with CVS

Disclosure: I’m proud to partner with CVS/pharmacy for the Day in the Life campaign. I am being sponsored by CVS/pharmacy for my posts and activities, but all opinions expressed are my own, and all product claims or program details shared should be verified at CVS.com or with the appropriate manufacturers.

With 2016 almost here, I’ve been reassessing my goals and intentions for the upcoming year. While 2015 treated me kind, due to heavy travel and business commitments, I wasn’t always being as healthy as I could’ve been. Late night eating added to room service tabs and lunches at the airport aided to me not always eating the right things. And now that I am 40, playtime is over. If I want to live a long life, I have to do so on a more healthy note. I am committed to living healthier in the New Year, and I plan to do so with CVS.

Being a partner with CVS and their #CVSDayInTheLife campaign means that I get to share the wonderfulness that they offer. Their in-store discount brands help working families such as myself save on much needed items, and it is a one-stop shop for just about everything we need for the household. Now that I have my eye on living a healthier lifestyle, starting my day off right is key to consistency. CVS’ radiance Platinum brand offers supplements that 100% preservative free. In fact, some of their vitamins and supplements are vegan, and non-GMO certified organic. You can feel good about starting your day off right with a brand that you can trust.

The radiance Platinum label has everything from herbals, to vitamins, to minerals, and supplements. They even have “health goal” formulas for melatonin, biotin, and lycopene to name a few.

Here’s just a sampling of what healthy habits I plan to create to help me live better:

Full Night’s Sleep

My goal for 2016 is to get a full eight hours of sleep (at least) each night. As a professional blogger and author, I tend to work until the wee hours of the morning, which can wreak havoc on my sleeping pattern and my metabolism. So one of my biggest things I want to focus on in the upcoming year is making sure that I get enough sleep consistently. With the aid of radiance Platinum Melatonin, I am going to conquer this feat finally.

Eating Breakfast

I tend to skip breakfast which, according to most health professionals, is a no-no. So, another healthy goal for 2016 is to indulge in a healthy and nutritious breakfast.

More Rigorous Workout

I currently workout with a trainer three times a week. We do a lot of running, jogging, and stair-climbing. I’m a beast when it comes to my lower body, and I have amazing stamina and muscle strength. But my midsection could use more conditioning, so I am going to start working out in a gym three times a week as well to get a more toned look. It’s time I say bye-bye to my belly.

Cooking More Healthy Foods at Home

During the last few years, I’ve become quite the cook. But I must admit that my menu selections aren’t always the healthiest. So, I am recommitting myself to prepare more well-balanced and nutritious meals for my family, as I am also creating habits for them as well.

Good for Me Snacks

CVS’ Gold Emblem abound brand has plenty ‘o good snacks for me to choose from that are also healthy, too. Their Kale and Spinach Tortilla Chips and granola bars taste awesome and give me a reason not to grab a candy bar or bag of salty chips for a snack in between meals.

2016 is going to see a better and healthier me. And with CVS and their radiance Platinum brand, I have just what I need to jump-start my success. Remember—for any health regimen, workout, or weight loss plan, consult a physician. Here’s to making 2016 the best year yet!
