7 Best Podcasts for Successful Entrepreneurial Chicks

Podcasts for Successful Entrepreneurial Chicks

Looking for podcasts that can help rock your world professionally? Check out these podcast selections that are perfect for entrepreneurial chicks.

As a busy and thriving woman entrepreneur, you really need all the inspiration and resources you can get. Whether you’re building your business on the side, or going full-time in your empire right now, staying on top of your skills, and keeping abreast of the changes in your field, can be a full-time job in itself.

When I started blogging on the side a few years ago, I was frankly overwhelmed. In between my side gig, full-time job, two kids under the age of 5 , and seemingly unending laundry, I had little to no time to learn about my business.

That’s when I started looking for ways to learn about business and entrepreneurship on-the-go, yet still effectively enough to take my business to the next level. So I started listening to podcasts: as I commuted to work, as I waited in the doctor’s office, folded laundry or washed dishes.

It’s through podcasts that I started learning about creating a blog and growing a business. It’s also where I (virtually) met and heard from some of the most influential entrepreneurs out there, and had the opportunity to get advice from some of the most renowned influencers at the top of their fields.

Sure, there are a lot of great podcasts out there. Yet in the midst of all the available options, I’ve picked out some favorites that I go back to over and over again. These are the shows I subscribe to and listen to almost daily, and consider my top go-to’s for busy entrepreneurial chicks like you and I:

Work It by The Cubicle Chick

This podcast by self-proclaimed #mamamogul and founder of The Cubicle Chick blog, Danyelle Little, covers career, family, tech and lifestyle topics. The advice and tips shared here will help you get the most out of your personal and professional life, while also featuring fascinating entrepreneurs and role models.

Why I like it: Listening to the Work It podcast is like pulling a chair next to your BFF and having the best (and most productive) 30-minute convo! I love how Danyelle is able to mix precious nuggets of advice with her own personal experience as an entrepreneur, mom, and business woman in general. A must-listen!

Online Marketing Made Easy with Amy Porterfield

Online entrepreneur and “Facebook expert” Amy Porterfield does an amazing job in her podcast, demonstrating how to monetize your online business and/or blog. From discussing how to create an online course from start to finish, to recording a webinar or a video, not to mention designing amazing Facebook ads, this podcast is packed with incredible strategies to grow your business well and fast.

Why I like it: I’ve personally applied some of Amy’s tips, and boy, do they work! What I love most about this podcast is Amy’s ability to break down complicated strategies and technical procedures into small, easy-to-digest steps anyone can easily implement! And if a tech-challenged girl like myself can do it, anyone can…

GirlBoss Radio with Sophia Amoruso

If you’ve ever wanted to hang out with other #girlbosses, this is your (virtual) opportunity! In her podcast, NastyGal founder and author of the #Girlboss best-seller interviews fellow women entrepreneurs from all fields and industries, nabbing some exclusive ideas and insights in the process. The result? Golden nuggets of inspiration, advice and strategy from unique, trailblazing women entrepreneurs like yourself.

Why I like it: In addition to the great tips, the humor factor in this podcast is through the roof! There’s nothing like getting inspired AND getting a good laugh in the process…

Glambition Radio with Ali Brown

Powerful women alert! In her highly-rated show, entrepreneur Ali Brown interviews successful business women and thought leaders, while sharing some of her own experiences as a famous and thriving  business leader.

Why I like it: What I enjoy most about this podcast is Ali’s unbiased honesty and candidness about the highs and the lows of her own business journey. She’s a pro, sounds like a pro, and gives us the opportunity to hear from some of the best female business pros out there too!

Entrepreneurs En Vogue: Conversations with Successful Millenial Women

I recently started listening to this podcast by founder and CEO Iman Oubou. On a weekly basis, it provides advice from savvy Gen Y women entrepreneurs from various fields and industries. If you’re looking for inspiration from female mavens who are making it BIG, this is great to listen to!

Why I like it: I really enjoy the variety of entrepreneurial pursuits and business women I get to listen to on this podcast. Every interview’s a true piece of inspiration!

The Biz Chix Podcast

Podcast host Natalie Eckdahl, an MBA and busy mom of three, launched a software business with her husband and now shares her over 20 years of business experience in this podcast. She also interviews outstanding fellow entrepreneurs, who in turn provide their own work-life balance, productivity tips and unique insights.

Why I like it: The topics covered hit close to home for “mompreneurs” like myself and other entrepreneurs. They deal with everyday topics we face in our businesses and life, from how to manage your money to prioritizing your tasks.

The Happy Black Woman podcast

Last but not least, one of my most favorite podcasts is a happy one. Founded and hosted by author of The Happy Black Woman website Rosetta Thurman, its goal is to empower black women to grow and improve through entrepreneurship and personal development. It also features great interviews with influential women who are making a difference in their personal and professional lives.

Why I like it: Because it’s happy, fresh and filled with hope and life! Period.
