Five Reasons Why I Look Forward to Mondays

Do you think it’s impossible to look forward to Mondays? Read this, and then decide.

I used to be one of the millions of people on the planet that looked down on Mondays.

When Sunday night came around, I would get into a funk thinking about going in to work the next day. There were times when I even experienced panic attacks because I was so stressed out about facing Monday and a new week.

That all changed when my mindset shifted.  Once I began to like what it is that I did for a living, Mondays became my ally. Mondays can become your ally too.

In my last blog post about Mondays, I discussed why you shouldn’t let Mondays stop you from being great. In this post, I am going a little deeper using myself as an example. There’s a certain magic in Mondays that you can’t let pass you by.

Here’s five reasons why I look forward to Mondays:

It means possibilities

Monday is the beginning of the week, and it works as the foundation for how our week will go. Start it off on a positive note, and you are sure to have a good week. Begin the week negatively, and it can prove to be difficult to have a happy and fulfilling week.

Mondays are our cue that life is what you make it. Turn that frown upside down and make your Mondays work for you, not the other way around.

When Monday comes around, I look at it like the first scene of my favorite movie. It sets up the rest of the scenes and serves as a reason for people to keep watching the movie. Don’t miss out on possibilities while being too fixated on the negatives and not the positives.

It gives an opportunity to serve

No matter your occupation or career choice, Mondays gives you an opportunity to serve. On the weekends, I am totally in personal mode, but Mondays signal that it is time to help people. Being a working parent advocate means helping them get the most out of their personal and professional lives.

Mondays means playtime is over and now the serving can begin. And when I help people, it’s a fulfilling feeling that I haven’t experienced in anything else.

It’s another day in “paradise”

You are a alive—duh! What other reason do you need to look forward and be happy about Mondays? You now have another day to get it right.

New outfits to show off

On a more surface level note, shopping on the weekends means a new outfit to show off on Monday? Am I wrong? Nope!

Power

You and I have the power to make the day that we lead matter. We also have the power to make it one that manifests all of the goodness and purposefulness that deserves. We can use that power for good or for bad. It is totally our decision.

How will you use your power? Will it be to just get through your Monday? Or will it be to make it the best Monday that you can? The choice is yours.

I know not everyone is going to be on the look forward to Mondays train, but believe me, it’s leaving the station with or without you. Decide that you are worth it to make your Mondays manifest awesomeness. I believe that we are both worth it.
