iHome Previews Affordable Family Entertainment Systems at #2013CES

When it comes to technology, I am a fan of items that can be used everyday and can enhance the family entertainment experience. iHome has made a name for itself for being a brand that offers sleek design and well-made items that are affordable and within reach for many incomes. During the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas last week, I got to have a personal tour of the iHome private suite area, which was well-stocked and well-appointed with treasures that they will be selling in the market later this year.

One of the most impressive items that I got to preview was the iHome Bluetooth Portable Stereo Boombox. A throwback to the days of the huge boomboxes the breakdancers and trendsetters walked around with in the 80’s, this gem with a rubberized finish gives you big sound for just $199. Just put in your iPhone or iPod and let the boombox entertain you wherever you are. And the color selection of these boomboxes are very funky, edgy, and perfect for making a statement. I was told that this item would be available in the 2nd QTR, around April/May.

Oh, and did I mention it has a equalizer too so you can tweak the sound elements? How fab!

iHome also wowed us with their digital music docks that will allow you to charge sometimes up to 3 different devices including iPhones, iPads, and iPods. And they are also fit with Android components as well! These items offer rich audio, Bluetooth capability, Airplay (some models) and create a user experience that is memorable and enjoyable. These docks are well designed, and can fit just about any decor. You don’t have to hide them out of sight—use them to add to your room theme or design. An entry level music dock is around $79 and go up from there.

iHome has licenses with some of your favorite kid characters including Crayola, Disney, Spongebob Squarepants, and more. Kids also want to get in on technology and do so with the characters they have grown to love. iHome is releasing personal speakers and headphones for the mini-set so they can enjoy their entertainment as well.
