My 6 Yr Old & I Review ‘Gigi’s Hugest Announcement’ DVD

I love spending time with my six year old. I make sure that the both of us have bonding time with just the two of us. I had the perfect opportunity to do this yesterday, when I received a DVD to review on the mail called ‘Gigi, God’s Little Princess #2-Gigi’s Hugest Announcement‘.

I knew right away that my six year old would enjoy the DVD because Gigi was dressed like a princess on the cover and my daughter has a fascination with princesses.

My daughter got comfy on her bed and I sat down next to her and we clicked on the play button. Instantly her eyes lit up when the theme music began playing.

Gigi is a cute little girl with curly black hair and bright eyes. Gigi is also a Christian and so is her family. She is, as the DVD is entitled, God’s Princess. She wants so much to spread her Christian faith by sharing it with her friends. She decides to hold an event in order to announce it.

But many things go wrong for Gigi. She plans a parade and then a tea party but things keep happening. Gigi continues to try to get this message to her friend because that is what God would have wanted her to do.

My daughter really loved the DVD . This is what she had to say about the DVD once it was finished:

“I loved this DVD and I want to watch it again later, I think. I might even want to watch it tomorrow too! Gigi is a great friend.”

I liked it too. ‘Gigi’s Hugest Announcement was a great Christian animated feature without being too preachy or stiff. It was very personable and the message was not overdone. I plan on purchasing more Gigi DVDs based on this first view. If you are a parent of Christian faith, I think you would love to own this movie as well!

‘Gigi’s Hugest Announcement’ is by Sheila Walsh. There are two episodes included in the disc, and the running time is 60 minutes according to the DVD sleeve. For more info about the book, click HERE or visit the ‘Gigi’s Hugest Announcement’ page HERE on Thomas Nelson.

Disclaimer-Thomas Nelson has provided me a complimentary copy of this DVD in order to review it on this blog.
