My novel ‘A Clermont Lane Wedding’ is certainl My novel ‘A Clermont Lane Wedding’ is certainly not biographical, but there are traces of my life all up and down this book (hint hint). It’s a perfect Spring Break read!

It’s got romance, intrigue, a little mystery, and a family legacy on the line. On sale on Amazon, eBooks and paperback, link in bio.

The next big social network: Mashable Follow

When it comes to social networks, I am always up for adding another one to my growing arsenal. It’s an addiction I am totally proud of. Last month, it was announced that the online social media and tech wondersite Mashable was unveiling their new ‘Mashable Follow’ imprint. The service allows for users to create their own page and then connect and follow others. On your page, you can link useful information like articles and blog posts, and you can also see what others are linking.

Mashable is calling this new social network a “new social layer”. Not only do they want to bring valuable content to their readers, but they want to also encourage engagement amongst their users, creating a community on their massive site.

Beta testing began in Feburary and has been slowly rolling out to users. People already on Mashable Follow can invite others to the network. This is how I got onto it—my good friend Nick sent me and invite and I hurried up and created my page.

I’ve only been on Mashable Follow for a few days, so it’s hard for me to rate it at this point. From what I see, it’s less of a status updater (like Facebook) or a micro-blogging site (like Twitter) and more of content sharing to create conversation. I need more followers on Mashable Follow, so if you are using it, please follow me—HERE!

What do you think of Mashable Follow thus far?

Glamazini, I’m trying it out myself as well. I have so many social media addictions, not sure how I would be able to fit this one in. LOL

I would like to see what they have to offer. If they manage it as well as they do their current site then I might be ready to go on over.

Spinks, since you are a social media maven, if you do get around to using it, let me know your thoughts. I’m trying to be more on top of my social networking game for my projects.

I don’t see the need for it. The internet is already saturated with social media.. we don’t need another one. We need less, not more.
