Guess Who’s in the August Issue of Glamour Magazine? ME!

….yes, it’s true. I am in the August issue of Glamour magazine with the lovely and talented Heidi Klum on the cover. If you look deep within the issue on page 122, you will see a quote from little old me!

Back in April, I was contacted by a writer from Conde Nast, the company that publishes Glamour, regarding my blog post, My Boss Takes Credit for My Work. The writer asked me to tell the story behind my post, and after a few emails back and forth, I was told I may or may not be included in an upcoming issue of the glossy magazine.

Fast forward a month when I was then contacted by a fact checker who was working on behalf of Conde Nast and asked me a few questions to determine if I really gave the information given. A month and a half later, I am in the magazine.

Truth be told, I thought it was going to be a longer piece regarding horrible bosses and now see that it is only a quick blurb with my first name. No mention of my blog but that is okay—I am thrilled to be mentioned in the magazine.

And just in case you don’t believe that this is me (since there are quite a few of us who spell their names with a “Y” like I do, I included the original email screenshot—-just in case a hater has something to say! (yes, I am being sarcastic)

Run, don’t walk, to your nearest bookstore and purchase the August issue of Glamour! I am in it and damnit, let me have my moment! LOL.

On the real, though, this goes to show you that even when you don’t think anyone is reading your blog, people are watching. The content of your blog may be used in a magazine piece, or spark a subject for an article.

Write your blog like it will be seen!

Smooches!

This is awesome! You deserve to be in that mag, even if it’s a blurb and even if your website isn’t mentioned. Nice thing is now you have more credibility and can use it to your advantage!
