When legendary actress and songstress Lena Horne passed away last year, I was overcome with sadness. My grandmother was a big fan of hers and I grew up listening to her records and watching her in movies like Stormy Weather, Ziegfeld Follies, and The Whiz. Hollywood not only lost a great talent, but a woman who was beautiful both inside as well as out. Her memory now lives on in her work and in the beautiful photographs that captured her essence, style, and incredible profile.
My Cube Style Icon series would not be complete without a dose of Lena Horne. Enjoy!
