Raise Money for ‘Girls For a Change’ with Yahoo! Homepage

The following is a post sponsored by Yahoo! Every time someone clicks here to make Yahoo! their homepage, they’re showing their support for Girls For A Change.

I was selected for this opportunity by Clever Girls Collective, which endorses Blog With Integrity, as I do.

Cubicle Chicks and Dudes are fabulous because we believe in giving back. Despite our hectic schedules and busy work life, taking time out to donate time and money to worthy causes is something we do because we believe in doing things for others. And when giving back helps raise money for an organization doing great things, I must participate in it and spread the love.

Yahoo! is giving up to $10,000 away to Girls for a Change, ‘a national organization that empowers girls to create social change’. By urging young women to speak up about their communities and goings on around them while nurturing their independent spirits to make positive decisions and change, GFC is truly a powerful vessel to inspire our young girls.

To help Yahoo! raise money for Girls for a Change, all you have to do is click HERE to make Yahoo! your homepage. Yahoo! will donate $10 for every person who makes Yahoo! their homepage from now until July 1st, up to $10,000. This is an easy, breezy way for each of us to help raise money and awareness for GFC.

What are some other reasons why you should make Yahoo! your homepage? Well for starters, Yahoo! tailors your homepage specifically for your experiences and interests. Your homepage is your personal portal filled with content that is most relevant to you.  With ‘Your World’ and The World’, you will see news stories that affect you locally and globally. There are also articles on the homepage that are written from a human interest prospective, which may shed light on stories and issues that are close to your heart.

Making Yahoo! your homepage is truly a no-brainer. And wouldn’t it feel good to do something so simple that can positively affect thousands of girls?

I hope that all of you take the time out to help raise funds for Girls for a Change by making Yahoo! your homepage on your browser. For more information on Girls for a Change, click HERE.

About Girls for a Change:

“Girls For A Change (GFC) is a national organization that empowers girls to create social change. We invite young women to design, lead, fund and implement social change projects that tackle issues girls face in their own neighborhoods. GFC empowers girls for personal and social transformation. The program inspires girls to have the voice, ability and problem solving capacity to speak up, be decision makers, create visionary change and realize their full potential.”
