10 Fabulous Things that my Xoom Can Help Me Do

It’s been a few weeks since I’ve had my Xoom and it has really become a staple in my life—how did I live without this previously? It seems like everyday, I am learning more and more things that I can do with my Motorola Xooom tablet, and it has helped me greatly in my everyday fabulousness of being a mommy and Cubicle Chick on the go.

Here are 10 fabulous things that my Xoom can help me do:

  1. Find places- Since I am always on the go, sometimes I am adventuring to places unknown. My Xoom helps me get directions in real time with the use of Google Maps and the navigation feature. Yes, I could use my phone, but it sucks up the battery life ALOT, so being able to use it on my Xoom really helps me. The battery on the Xoom is long lasting and frees up my phone battery so it’s a win/win.
  2. Take video- I LOVE the video feature on my Xoom. While at Yo Gabba Gabba Live this past weekend with my 7 year old, and I was able to capture her with some great video footage on my Xoom, and upload it in real time to my Photobucket account, which my friends and family can access easily.
  3. Surf the web on the go- Surfing the web on my Android phone is okay, but it’s uber awesome while I am out and about on the Xoom. It’s almost like having a computer with me, and I am able to see everything live and large.
  4. Cook- With me being a new chef, I love to try out new recipes, and I can follow them step-by-step in my kitchen by following along with them on my Xoom. You can see my Xoom in action during one of my cooking sessions HERE.
  5. Blog- Blogging on the go is hard on my phone. The Xoom gives me the opportunity to write full blog posts (or correct ones that have already been posted) with my WordPress app. Again, having a larger screen gives me more flexibility, and that is a must when you are a Digital Debutante 🙂
  6. Take pictures- The camera on my Xoom rocks, so taking pictures is quite fun on the Xoom. Plus it also gives you editing capabilities, which can enhance your pictures and make them more visually stunning.
  7. Grocery shop- Yes, I grocery shop with my Xoom. I have my list on it and I can check off things easily.
  8. Find bargains- While grocery shopping, I can use the web to find deals, coupons, and bargains while I shop.
  9. Keep my 7 year old entertained- When doing things like getting an oil change at Jiffy Lube or waiting for a prescription to be filled, the Xoom can help keep my daughter busy. She can play Cobie, stream videos, and get on her favorite sites like Nick Jr., Dreambox, and Barbie.com
  10. Not be bored- As a mom, I wait ALOT. The Xoom keeps me un-bored and happy while the kids are doing their thing, and I am waiting to chauffeur them around to their next activity.

So there you have it, folks. I can do more than those 10 things, of course, but these are 10 reasons why I don’t think I can live without my Xoom. It’s amazing what it can do.

I, The Cubicle Chick, received a Motorola Xoom at no charge to me for being a Verizon Midwest Mom. My opinions, as always, are my own and have not been affected in any way by the sponsor.

Wow, I am getting more and more of an urge to jump on the tablet bandwagon! How would you say it compares to having a dedicated laptop?

We had a Xoom for a bit. I loved it. I’m a die hard #TeamAndroid fan, though. At the time we tried an iPad (1, not 2) and it didn’t. We ended up returning it to the store because we found a better deal on a netbook and I think the netbook better fit our reality at the time. Now, we’re looking for a replacement for the netbook (in only a few short months lol). Maybe I’ll go the Xoom route again…

I’m a tablet fan!!! I won’t mention which I have because it is not a Xoom but your Xoom seems awesome. I’m more impressed that you get them joints for free. Can I be you when I grow up LOL

I have a Motorola Xoom also! Love it, recently picked up a little dock for it so I can have movies or TV shows playing on it as well as charging on my desk – leaves my keyboard on the MacBook free for typing while catching up on the most recent episodes of Gossip Girl and Vampire Diaries and simultaneously blog commenting! 🙂
