School is back in session!
If you are a parent of a school aged child, then most likely you celebrated another milestone as your child started school this month. My daughter has been in school for the last few weeks, and has been enjoying the 3rd grade thus far. The weekend before she started school, we took a visit to Build a Bear Workshop and made a bear that would celebrate her going back to school. My daughter christened her Hello Kitty creation, Alissa, and picked out the perfect back to school outfit for her, complete with a backpack.
Having your child make their very own special furry friend can take the nervousness and anxiety away when starting a new school year. Alissa was there after her first day of school to make sure that my daughter had a good day and everything went well.
As one of Build a Bear Workshop’s 15 Friends, I love the idea of my daughter making and creating her own friends to help mark these special times in my life.
