Photo Fab: Glamour Magazine’s Women of the Year 2012 Awards

For the past 21 years, Glamour Magazine has celebrated women who have shaped our lives, made triumphs and major achievements, and went above and beyond the call of duty. This year’s Glamour Women of the Year 2012 are a mixture of sheroes, phenoms, over-achievers, and simply amazing females who have shown us that being a woman rocks—we can do anything and then some!

I am always impressed with the women Glamour selects each year. Some of the names are easily recognizable and public figures of our time. Others are not so well-known, but have shown courage in such a way that being overlooked is not an option. As a mother of a daughter, I love showing my eight year old daughter the photos of these women alongside their long list of accolades and achievements. By knowing that these women are rocking the world and changing it at the same time, she can be empowered.

This year’s Glamour Women of the Year 2012 are:

Ethel and Rory Kennedy

Gold Medal Olympians

Annie Leibovitz

Lena Dunham

Jenna Lyons

Ruth Bader Ginsberg

Sharmeen-Obaid Chinoy

Erin Merryn

Zaha Hadid

Selena Gomez

Check out the photos of this year’s recipients walking the red carpet during November 12th’s Glamour Women of the Year 2012 Awards as well as a well-known crowd of attendees showing up and showing out on a night all about women.
