Now that school is back in session, I like to have treats ready for my daughter when she gets home. Working from home gives me the ability to greet her when she comes in and hear all about her day. She usually gives me her daily rundown with what happened at school while eating her snack. Having nutritious after school snacks handy for her for our after school bonding sessions makes her happy, and makes me feel like Mom of the Year.
It’s important to have a variety of after school snacks and beverages that your kids enjoy. It’s also awesome when they are healthy, too!
My tween has always been a fan of apple juice, so having Mott’s around is always a win. I love their single serve bottles, which make cleanup a cinch. I usually pair it with some graham crackers or celery and carrot sticks for yumminess overload. Additionally as an added bonus, you can help your child’s school earn money for the things they need. Some Mott’s products include Box Tops for Education points.
Silly straws add to the fun factor, alongside staples like Yoo-hoo Chocolate Drink and Hawaiian Punch.
You can pair these drinks alongside favorites like apples, cheeses, and other assorted fruit.
On hot days, you can freeze the juice bags, and thaw them about prior to coming home. This makes a slushy effect that smaller kiddos will love.
These drinks aren’t just for after school snacks. They also make great beverages for school lunches. Just pack them in their lunchbox and viola!
Mott’s, Yoo-hoo, and Hawaiian Punch are a part of the family of Dr Pepper Snapple Group. With this huge variety of beverages, here’s something for everyone in the family. Who knew they were responsible for some of our favorite drinks?
In order to keep our kids healthy, it is important to also keep them active. When they are at home, you can provide activities for them and make it a family affair. Jumping rope, mini obstacle courses in the backyard, or simply taking a family walk around the neighborhood get kids (and adults) moving.
