5 Things You Can Do With Your Extra Hour #DaylightSavingTime

5-things-you-can-do-with-your-extra-hour

Welp, it’s that time of the year again. Get some tips on things you can do with your extra hour that will make the sun setting earlier be not so bad.

Either you love this time of year, or you hate it. The sun sets earlier and the days are shorter, but there’s one positive—the extra hour you get! You can choose to be miffed about the lack of sunlight, or you can take a negative and make it a positive by truly utilizing the extra hour. (Now I know that it’s really not an extra hour after the first day, but you get what I’m sayin’!)

There are tons of things that you can do with an additional sixty minutes, but I am sharing 5 things that you can do with your extra hour that will do good for you and your family.

Check out my list below:

Sleep

Most Americans do not get enough sleep. This can lead to weight gain, stress, and other unhealthy factors that you may not want to deal with later on. Use your extra hour to get more sleep. This can help your metabolism, lower stress, and help you boost immunity which can ward off the cold and the flu.

Unplug

Use your extra hour to unplug and indulge in self-care. Read a good book, watch a movie, or take a walk with your loved one through the neighborhood. These activities can help create bonding moments, and is so much better than being tethered to social media or your email.

Start a new tradition

With this time of year being the holiday season, you can use your extra hour to create new traditions with your family. Maybe you can make a DIY night where everyone participates in making a gift by hand. Or how about a movie night where you each take turns picking out what movie you will watch? Whatever the case, the extra time spent with the family is an investment we all should make.

5 Things You Can Do With Your Extra Hour

Invest

You know that business you’ve been wanting to invest more time in, or that side hustle that you’ve been wanting to cultivate? How about spending the extra hour daily that you have and pour it into your endeavor? With an extra hour of sweat equity each day, your business can go from zero to one hundred real quick!

Finish Unmet Goals

You know those goals you set at the beginning of the year? How many of them have you completed? With the extra hour you now have, you can make it your mission to tackle those goals that you’ve been putting off.

I am not too fond of the sun setting at 4pm, either, but I am going to make the most out of it. I plan on all of these things you can do with your extra hour (and then some). We can’t take time for granted.

What do you plan on doing with your extra hour? Let me know in the comments.
