February is American Heart Month, and I’ve partn February is American Heart Month, and I’ve partnered with @MedIQCME and Duke Health to raise awareness about atrial fibrillation (AFib), also known as irregular heartbeat which affects 12 million people. My father was diagnosed with AFib and my family has a history of this condition, so I do my best to learn as much as I can about it.

I’ve learned that when the atrium’s squeezing becomes irregular, blood doesn’t flow as smoothly through the heart and clots can form. Those clots can travel to the brain, disrupting the oxygen supply and causing a stroke. People with AFib are at approximately 5 times greater risk for stroke than those with regular heartbeats. Stroke is a leading cause of death and also of serious, long-term disability. It is essential to get to a hospital quickly if you suspect a stroke in yourself or others.Learn the acronym FAST to recognize the signs of stroke:

F = Face. Ask the person to smile. Does one side of the face droop?

A = Arms. Ask the person to raise both arms. Does one arm drift downward?

S = Speech. Ask the person to repeat a simple phrase. Is the speech slurred or strange?

T= Time. If you see any of these signs, call 9-1-1 right away.

Side Hustle Signs: Is it time for you to strike out on your own?

Are you ready to shake things up in your career and make some extra money in the process? A side hustle may be exactly what you need.

For the sake of this article, a side hustle is NOT a part-time job.  I consider a side hustle any endeavor that allows you to use your time and energy to generate an income that is NOT attached a “regular” payroll.

Starting a small business, consulting or freelancing (like writing) using the skills you possess already are great examples of a side hustle. There also turnkey side hustles like affiliate marketing or multi-level marketing businesses.  You can create a side hustle around your current lifestyle and needs.

You need a side hustle if:

You need more money.

If you are in a situation where you need money. If you want to pay off debt, save for vacation, start a college fund for your children, or splurge on an item without interrupting your regular finances, a side hustle can help you out.

A part time job may not give you flexibility and/or the unlimited earning potential of a side hustle. You can control the amount of money you make and the time you spend on your side hustle. The sky is the limit.

If your side hustle is directly related to skills you already possess, the learning curve will not almost non-existent.  The investment can be less than $50.

Need guidance?  Sign up for the FREE download “10 Ways to make money TODAY without learning new skills or leaving your home!”

You need an outlet to explore your passion.

Whether you are a 9-5er or are an entrepreneur already, you may have dreams, desires, and passions that are screaming for you to give them some attention.

If you have untapped passion that is not currently being explored, you may be feeling like something is missing. A side hustle can help you to fill that void without interrupting your main hustle. Having the outlet fueled by your passion may also positively affect your life and relationships too.

You want to start a business but are not ready to fully launch.

Entrepreneurship is not for the faint at heart and should not be entered lightly.  Testing your idea, product or service is a smart idea. It will give you valuable data relating to your clients and what they need. The testing phase is also a good time to tweak pricing and build your confidence.

When you are ready fully launch, you will have the information you need to be successful!  The great news is, if you decide it Is not for you at all, that is ok.

It is better you come to that conclusion before you invest too much time and money.  You will not know if it will work or if it is for you if you do not try it.

It is time to stopping thinking about a side hustle and put it into action!  Download “10 Ways make money TODAY without learning new skills or leaving your home” and get started.
