Guide Your Career and Goals with a Gratitude Journal

At the beginning of the year, I made many resolutions. I resolved to lose weight, eat healthier, read more, etc. But I also vowed to be more thankful for my life and the blessings I have had by keeping a gratitude journal. I can tell you that most of those resolutions have fallen by the wayside. But I am still keeping a gratitude journal, and it has done wonders for my life.

What is a gratitude journal? Well, it’s a journal that focuses not on what you want, but what you already have and what you are thankful for. It’s this synergy that can do a lot in your life—by expressing genuine gratitude outwardly, that energy comes back to you tenfold. I heard about gratitude journals from Oprah, but didn’t know how it would make a change in my life. I can now honestly say that it is something that that has really changed my life for the better.

I began starting my gratitude journal with the Notepad application on my iPad. It was quick and easy and since I am always on it, would be easy to implement. Now I am using my own branded TCC journal to document my gratitude. And ever so often, I read past entries, reminding me of everything I am thankful for.

I am a firm believer that positive thoughts bring positive actions and vibes. We spend so much time asking, that we don’t always remember to be grateful.

Having a gratitude journal can work in so many ways. It can help your career, your goals, your family. It can help you spiritually, mentally, and emotionally.

And if you don’t have a journal, you can show gratitude with Grateful 160, an online gratitude journal that you can update by using the web, SMS text, or via email. Just type in what you are thankful for in 160 or less, and you have a time capsule or online journal of your gratitude.

Start keeping a gratitude journal and watch your life change positively right before your eyes. Write in it consistently. Think positive thoughts. See how it transforms things around you.

I challenge you to begin writing in a gratitude journal at least once a week (or use Gratitude 160). Let me know how it’s been working in your career, your life, your goals!
