Samsung at CES 2019: Everything You Need to Know

If you were wondering what it is like to visit Samsung at CES 2019, I've got a rundown for you of what you need to know. Let's go!

When I attended the Samsung Press Conference on Monday before the beginning of CES (click HERE for the tea on that), I knew that they were going to be showcasing some major wow. We got a preview of the Samsung Bot, who can help the elderly and other people with health issues, the new QLED TV with 8K resolution, and the launch of 5G in their upcoming devices.

Samsung is always on the cutting edge of innovation, so its no surprise that they needed to make a big splash at the Big Show. This year, they launched Samsung City at CES, the merging of all of their products from phones to laptops to appliances, and more.

I saved seeing the Samsung booth for last because it is always one of the most popular booths at CES. I wanted to be able to really be able to take it in, so I could share the experience with you as well as let you know what everyday tech items are what you should be on the lookout for.

Here’s everything YOU (meaning my everyday career oriented working moms and dads) need to know about Samsung at CES:

A TV That Fits Into Your Living Space

If you were wondering what it is like to visit Samsung at CES 2019, I've got a rundown for you of what you need to know. Let's go!

Samsung showcased their Serif TV, which looks more like a decor piece from Ikea than a TV. Focused on design and functionality, the Serif TV is a lovely statement piece for any room, and is pretty slick and innovative. You can use it with or without a stand, and it 40″ and can be voice activated.

Bixby Is Here to Stay

If you were wondering what it is like to visit Samsung at CES 2019, I've got a rundown for you of what you need to know. Let's go!

Bixby is Samsung’s AI platform, and it is really making an impact this year in most of their products. Through Bixby, you can start your day by turning on your TV, air conditioner, and music with your voice. It is pretty robust as it works with pretty much anything that Samsung releases. You’ve been accustomed to Siri and Google Assistant with “Hey Google”, but don’t sleep on Bixby.

Digital Cockpit

If you were wondering what it is like to visit Samsung at CES 2019, I've got a rundown for you of what you need to know. Let's go!

Speaking of Bixby, would you like to be able to start your car while you are in the shower so it’s nice and toasty for you to get in it? That is just one of the things you can do with the Digital Cockpit. Right now, Digital Cockpit is in testing mode as it is not available in the U.S. yet, but with their acquisition of Harman, we should start seeing them in vehicles in 2020.

Samsung Family Hub

If you were wondering what it is like to visit Samsung at CES 2019, I've got a rundown for you of what you need to know. Let's go!

Samsung has rolled out a new version of their Samsung Family Hub Refrigerator that has a Smart Recipe, allowing you to pull up recipes based on your family’s preferences, allergies, special diets, etc. You can also write notes digitally and save them on the board (those family members too young to write can use their voice to create notes), and it can order foods for you when you run out of certain items.

Notebook Flash

If you were wondering what it is like to visit Samsung at CES 2019, I've got a rundown for you of what you need to know. Let's go!

This sleek laptop is a perfect starter laptop for a high schooler or college student. With a textured finish and typewriter styled keyboard, it comes in a few colors and pretty light for commuting.

Samsung is leveraging itself as THE innovator for everyone’s lifestyle. Apple, are you listening?
