Products I Support: Shea Yeleen Body Butter & Lip Balm (Review)

As a fabulous mother of two, I am always on the hunt for great products when it comes to body and skincare. I was approached a few weeks ago to review items from Shea Yeleen International, and I figured it would be a wonderful opportunity to work with a line that isn’t a big large brand, but one that is centered in giving back.

I was sent Shea Yeleen’s Authentic Unrefined Scented Body Butter with Pure Shea Butter as well as their Coconut Peach Lip Balm. I decided to try the body butter for the first time after I had freshly showered, since that is when I am usually at my driest. And being that it is winter, my skin has been incredibly scaly. When I applied the body butter liberally all over, my skin felt luxurious. It was as if my skin was awakened with moisture and softness, and I really appreciated the thickness of the butter, but the even-ness of how it goes on the skin. I will tell you that I have fallen in love with this Body Butter. I have tried everything you can think of from many places, but this one takes the cake! I immediately notified the person who sent me the items to let her know that it got a resounding “thumbs up” from me.

The Lip Balm is great to put on before you apply your lip gloss or lipstick or before bed. It softens the lips and makes them kissable. I wasn’t too keen on the smell, but it grows on you. These are natural products without all of the additives and stuff that are in other products, so the smell is authentic of the ingredients.

I am very pleased with Shea Yeleen. Not only because it’s a great product but also because what it stands for. Shea Yeleen’s mission is to, “mission is to promote sustainable economic development and empower women in rural West Africa through organizing and training women owned cooperatives to produce, market, and sell high quality shea butter; and educate consumers in the U.S. about natural body care products and fair trade”.

It’s not just a line or products but it has purpose.

It’s a grassroots program that helps women in West Africa with the items and tools they need to produce quality products. Shea Yeleen’s mission, core values, and methodology is something that makes me smile. Their business model is reciprocal.

I can easily support them and after my complimentary products are gone, I will continue to buy them myself because they are that good.

Check out Shea Yeleen yourself and see what I mean.

I, The Cubicle Chick, was sent the items above for review at no charge. The views reflected in the post are mine and was not affected in any way by the product/sponsor. This is not a paid review or post.
